plan b deck question? im gettin a new skateboard and i want to know if the plan b technicolor deck with the prolite construction is good or not. i also wanna know which one cooler the p rod one or the jereme rogers one that doesnt help at all

Izzy Jay replied: "get a baker"

sk8r for life replied: "yes the plan b prolite is really good, I got two weeks ago and it has great pop, and its really durable. As for which one is cooler, if I were you I would get the P Rod even though I got the Pj Ladd one."

are pro model skateboards better than boards just by the company? is a p-rod board better than just a regular plan B board? they are more expensive- is that just because of the name or are they made with more care etc because pros actually use them.

YeIn replied: "They are much better quality"

Emmmy replied: "YEah sometimes"

nonbeliever underachiever replied: "the only reason theyre more expensive is because of the pros name.. youre basically buying the brand.. i don't think there is a difference unless it's a different size of course"

renquist_13 replied: "its not better, just different paint. pro's usually use different decks than the PRO decks made for them, those are just ddecks designed for each person on the team. go fro a regular deck. and if you can, get a shop-deck, or a blank. theyre just as good (sometimes better) and cost 1/2 as much, so you could get 2 , so if you snao one, got another."

yaboi replied: "NOOOOOOOOOOO they are all the same the only difference is one is a pro model and the other isnt when you pay more the only thing you are paying for is the name pf the person"

adidas-fan replied: "The quality is the same. The only difference is they are made to the rider's specifications. They come from the same factory and use the same wood, glue, etc."

What skateboard deck should i buy? im looking at a almost impact, plan b p rod acid, or an enjoi hsu plaids panda. which one is the best for learning kickflips? any other suggestions?

Stara H replied: "ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!"

weasel_boi replied: "a COLOURFUL one!"

Thomas Paul replied: "imo, get whatever you want all decks are made from the same wood really"

skateandland replied: "for me, plan bs are easiest It doesn't make much of a difference though. I would recommend buying a 7.5-7.75 size because the skinnier boards are easiest to flip. I haven't tried the other two but i would recommend the Plan B. Hope that helps!"

Sk8er Grrl replied: "When I was kind of a starter I got a Zero deck and it has a hell of a lot of pop to it. They rock! But whatever you do do NOT get an element. I recommend Zero because of how much pop they have. Plan b's are good decks to. :D"

Brian replied: "my suggestion would be a zero man because i got one and i learned how to do kicflips like that so go with zero!"

John R replied: "Your best bet is to get down your local skate shop and try a few out, decks come in different widths and have different contours depending on the brand. Go try a few out and see what feels comfortable hope this helps. Support your local skate shop."

Rising replied: "i wouldnt necessarily go for an impact wen ur trying to learn tricks because u will have to relearn EVERYTHING u have already learned. Its ultralight and it will take u a while to get used to (unless u already own an impact). If u have a regular (plan b, mystery, etc...) skateboard, id stick to the regulars. regular: no special technology like element. I have a Plan B and Almost Impact and they are totally different... i would go with the Plan B, but wen ur in the skateshop or buying it, always go wit ur gut feeling. i cant really tell u wat u want."

What to choose????? Which one do you guys like better?? >
Vicky replied: "the second one =]"

jayk795 replied: "errrr"

krn jhoon hann replied: "first one. the other one's look girly"

Tabitha replied: "Def. the last one! It is HOT!! (:"

almostzeros replied: "well i think the 1st one looks the least gay. if ur think of buying one, get the 1st, not for the graphic but because its cheaper. if ur any good at skating the graphic will scrape off in an hour so why pay more for it?"

Is this good for skateboarding? well after my last topic about my deck i want to know what you think of the set up im going to get (prob) (Deck) Plan B P-Rod Fader deck - 7.63 X 31.50 Or Plan B Sheckler Type A deck - 7.75 X 31.50 (Wheels) Bones Sheckler STF #10 wheels - 54mm (trucks) Destructo Low Trucks - White (bearings) Bone Red i also have a pair of Bone Swisses on my other deck (but there older)

Junior replied: "Now thats gonna be a sick deck. Lol i got a Active and mines gonna look nothin like that. So its a real good set up. Good choice. WAAAAY better than your first choice lol."

skate-rat replied: "well you picked a good choice in your deck, plan b is a good brand, well in my opinion it is, depending on how tall you are and big your feet are that will determine how wide your deck should be, in my case im 6' 3" i should be skating a deck that's 8" or higher but i just cant, so i skate 7.5" , so the bigger you are, the bigger your deck should be, or just what feels comfortable. your bearing are a good choice, they're what im skating right now and they go really good, have lasted me for ages. also, your trucks depending on how you ride them (tight or loose) determines how high you should buy. mids are usually the better option to buy compared to low trucks. over all its some really good brands but some odd choices. but that's just my opinion"

Is this a good skateboard setup? Plan B P. Rod battle axe deck Thunder Thunder Lights Trucks Bones Black 100's Wheels 53mm Red Bones Bearings Mob Grip Tape CCS Risers

Naregian replied: "sick"

Dom replied: "lose the risers, unless your trucks are insanely loose, and you're getting board-bite when you're in a bowl. other than that, nice."

skating in Los Angeles CALIFORNIA? I WAS WONDERING FOR THOSE SKATERS IN LOS ANGELES PASADENA ANY WHERE NEAR IF VAL SURF IS A GOOD SKATEBOARD TYPE CAUSE I WANNA START OFF WITH A VAL SURF THEN AFTER I GET THE HANG OF KICKFLIPS AND HEELFLIPS ILL GET A PLAN B P-ROD

jimmyjonesvc replied: "Huh? I don't understand what you just typed there, but, if your question is "Is there any skaters in L.A?", I can answer that. Yes, there is a lot in every corner."

MAD DOG replied: "Any skateboard is a good skateboard."

fix a cracked skateboard? i just bought a plan b p-rod deck 3 days ago and i was doing nollies down a 6 and landed on the nose wrong. so now the nose bows and has a crack in the first few layers. i want to know if there is a way to fix this easily with items in my house or items i could easily obtain.

Ryan T replied: "skateboard shop"

teacher replied: "it is kind of hard to explain but yes with items in your house. wilhold glue (Elmer's white glue) is what most cabinet and wood workers use for permanent laminations. then you need some scrap wood and wax paper. you will need to get the glue into the cracks separations and really work it all the way in to the core of the each and every cracks. a couple of ways to do this is to use a night crawler inflator to get a needle tip back into the cracks and dispense the glue or use tooth picks to jam it in for an hour pushing glue into holes and cracks over and over again and again. use the wax paper (wax to the board) and wrap it (so the glue when it squishes out goes against the wax and doesn't stick to everything else) then you take the wood blocks and using a large vice or large c- clamps or pipe clamps you push the laminations back into the shape they need to be to be original. if you need to shape a few of the blocks of wood you can wee that and you should have all the blocks and clamps ready before gluing begins. The glue will set-up overnight but won't cure for at least two days. you can file the ridges (caused by bubbling glue) down easy enough but if you get the glue all over the deck it could be a problem down the line and.... if you can use a wet rag to wipe up all glue spills as they are happening as you clamp the laminations back into one solid piece.."
