Juice Beauty Organic vs. Marcelle vs. other skin care products? I have acne-prone skin, nothing severe, but random blemishes around my face, especially on my forehead and chin. Also, my skin can get really oily, but can also be stubbornly dry in other areas.. if that helps. I've been using Neutrogena products for the past two months or so, it's been helping, some days are definitely better than others, but its not doing much for a long-term effect, so I was thinking of changing it up. Help! Any recommendations, home remedies, products, tips, hints, ect, ect will be greatly appreciated.

What natural looking makeup is best for acne prone skin? I have very fair, sensitive, oily, prone to breakout, large pores, stress affected skin. Over the years, I have tried so many different types of makeup from Maybelline, MAC, Lorac, and now currently Bare Minerals. I still breakout! I have used Proactiv (too drying), currenly using Juice Beauty (love it) and Bare Minerals Skin Rever-Upper. Any suggestions? The little bums are so irritating, and yet I want to have makeup on that is good for my skin. Please Help!

brooklynn replied: "i used to have problem skin and make-used to break me out, then i started using ColoreScience. My dermatologist carried in her office and i LOVE it. full coverage, great colors, with SPF 30 all the powders. this line has everything, eye shadows, lip gloss, pencils for lips and eyes. its a little more on the pricey side, but seriously so well worth it. Good luck"

Alanna replied: "OH! ok so I had acne before - I used a combination of things that helped it go away and now my skin is great! (I know you just asked for makeup but..) I went to a dermatologist and I was told to use a washing cloth type thing called Plexion.. you use it in the morning and at night.. then at night after you wash your face with Plexion, I was told youuse this lotion type stuff called Ziana. Together they work really well.. And then the foundation makeup I use is called Revlon ColorStay Active Light Makup. It looks fresh, and it doesn't clog pores.. It may leave your face a little shiney.. so then on top of that use N.Y.C Loose Face Powder (the translucent kind). It sounds like a lot of steps, but I promise it works.. and it take no time at all.. super quick! (Oh - and ALWAYS put liquid foundation on with a sponge meant for make-up.. and don't use one for too long...) good luck! : ) So the items are: Plexion Ziana NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Power Revlon ColorStay Active Light Makeup"

Acne Help for VERYYY sensitive & oily skin?!?! HELP T__T? I literally believe that I have the worst skin ever!! I had acne since the end of 5th grade and now I'm in 7th and every year the acne gets worse & so does my self confidence... I've tried ProActiv, Juice Beauty, and Neutrogena. Probably more. I am currently using Differin at night and Duac in the morning and these certain pills at night when I eat. Everywhere I go I haven't seen anyone suffer as much as I have with acne. PLEASE HELP!! GILLIAN T replied: "That's good that you are seeing a dermatologist. I suffered with mild acne when i was 11 and it gradually got worseover the years. Whilst i was at college i had servere acne and was diagnosed by my dermatologist as having cystic acne, the worst kind. I had no confidence although i was doing a drama BTEC! i felt ugly and worthless. I tried everything but it didn't work. So my specialist put me on a drug called Roaccutane. 'WHAT A MIRACLE' well it was in my experience. There are side effects which you need to read before going on the treatment. I suffered with extremelly dry and flaky skin, this is because the drug reduces the amount of oil you produce. This goes back to normal once treatment finishes. I was also quite stiff as i did alot of dancing so i had to be careful i didn't pull any muscles. I use to wake up with dry gungy eyes in which i needed to bathe and very sore cracked lips. I know this doesn't sound nice, but the treatment worked. I am now 25 and have been free of cystic acne since taking the drug, i am confident and now like the way i look, i actually think i am a really pretty girl now. I am also pursuing a successful career as an actress. Hope this helps, it did for me. Good luck"

May replied: "This is what I suggest: Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients. Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON‘T EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored. Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing. Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin. An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc. Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands a full of bacteria and oils."

L R replied: "How long have you been on your Differein, HG? The reason I ask is that it can take 3 -4 months to help clear your skin of lesions that have not yet surfaced so, while initial breakout is frustrating and will appear to make your acne worse, give your system time to purge itself of what it needs to. I also see that you've been bouncing from one product to another. Is this PRE Differin or post? I ask because often a patient with go from one skin care system to another only to be constantly frustrated that their skin never seems to clear. In reality, they're never giving their skin a chance to "catch-up" as it were. Try only non-comedogenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil or Purpose (I personally recommend Cetaphil) - especially for sensative skin. It is recommended that patients steer clear of any Retin A or Benzoyl Peroxide products while you're using Differin so check your products. Here's a couple of websites that might be helpful: Hope you find this information useful and that you get some clearing very soon. I can sense how terribly it's affecting you.. Take care & drop an email if you need help, LR"

heaven_love1224 replied: "Mary K has some really great products for acne. I hope your dermatologist can help you. I have heard a lot of good about pro active, but you have already tried that... Good luck hun. Another thing if you break out a lot mainly during your cycle a lot of time midol will help you with that... Good Luck!"

cooksgirl18 replied: "if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. since you have oily skin use both in the morning and at night. dont use bad makeup! for oily skin use powder. liquid foundation and oily skin just dont work well together. an awesome powder is physicians formula mineral loose powder. it soaks up unwanted oil and helps sensitive and acne prone skin. another thing you can do with any kind of skin type is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help."

tomorjerry replied: "Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out for more useful info."

Ketrine G replied: "Acnezine is the best product i have come across that helps beat acne."

Anna J replied: "Clearpores works best on acne problem. I have used and got some very relevant results."

Bri replied: "First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone! I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist. are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into. Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders. Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin. Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure."

Effexor N replied: "use benzoyl peroxide and homemade topical niacinamide. check out for information. they work best when combined because benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria while niacinamide prevents inflammation and promotes healing."

?!?!Acne Problem!?!? Ok so I have been using Murad skincare for sensitive skin (which has helped my skin), and I use bareminerals (and occasionally Juice Beauty all natural SPF 30 tinted moisturizer). I won't buy the TM again though because it doesn't match well and doesn't cover crap (but I am using it until it runs out, because it was 30$). Anyway, sorry about my rant, is there any products/spot treatments that KILL pimples overnight? I have sensitive skin and even though I have acne, I still have dry skin in a lot of areas. So what treatments do you suggest? Any tips for getting clearer skin? HELP?

Nilo replied: "Drink plenty of water. And if you drink soda, make sure you drink water to balance out the hydration in your body. Soda has the tendency to make your body dehydrate."

Renee L replied: "Nothing works overnight, but try using Proactive (that worked for me). Also, put alcohol on your pimples."

ikegirl replied: "try proactive! I'm not kidding it actually works! it has 3 steps and if u get a pimple it also has a pimple a remover that actually sometimes works overnight or in 2 days its awesome!"

sheryl 16 replied: "my tip for you is try to refrain using any type of medicated anti acne products, but instead try to ignore it, just make sure wash your face with soap that is not irritating, use new towel to dried up, and sleep with a pillow enclosed with a clean pillow case. never pinched your pimples. have enough sleep, beat stress, avoid dusty environment. major role here for the occurrence of acne is your hormone, majority of it is inevitable, just practice damage control, as i said earlier, hope this will help, my brother dont have acne when he reached 22, so you'll get over it"

Richard C replied: "Infrared heat therapy helps clear up skin and heal scars. The penetrating heat rays push toxins out of your skin and help your body to product collagen, which is an essential building block for human tissue. I researched and wrote an article about it. Check it out at: . Hope this helps!"

Missy replied: "Hello, I had acne for years. I finally found a solution. Olay Regenerist products. I first tried the sample package that was sent to me in the mail and have been hooked every since. The key to getting rid of your acne is to stop using more than one product at a time. So, my suggestion would be to use Olay Regenerist products. Try the following: Olay - Regenerist Daily Cleanser Wash your face 3 times a day with (morning, noon, night) Give your face at least 10 minutes to dry. Apply Olay Defnity Correcting Lotion w/SPF15, this will not only moisturize your skin but it will help with any spots. I did this for 30 days. After the 30 day period I added the Olay Definity Intense Hydrating Cream. I used this cream in the morning only. I used the Correcting Lotion at night only. Believe me I had acne problems for 28 years and Olay are the only products that I found that helped me without a prescription. It cleared my skin up in 30 days and I don't have any problems anymore. I have clear skin and I love it. Also if you don't drink water, try to drink at least 6 to 8 cups a day to cleanse your body and help your skin stay cleared. Hope this helps."

tomorjerry replied: "Acne is one of the most distressing and depressing problem. Soak cotton wool in mint juice, and apply every day. Mix cinnamon powder with lime juice to make a fine paste, Apply on the spots and wash when dry .Check out for more useful info."
