Does heartburn get worse in the third trimester? I've had heartburn my entire pregnancy. I am almost into my third trimester and it has become almost unbearable. So I wanna know, is it going to get worse?! Tums aren't doing anything. Neither is milk or any other liquid. THIS SUCKS!

Due Oct 14th..its a boy replied: "yep unfortunately..I am going through the same thing..it seems water gives me heartburn lol..But its proven that the same hormones that cause heartburn also cause babys hair to sprout..Read it in my book..so look forward to a headful of hair on your baby."

21 years old expecting my 1st replied: "This is my first and I am 32 weeks. What does heartburn feel like because I havent gotten it at all."

Rachel ~ 35 weeks with twins ~ replied: "Oh yes i haven't had it to bad until 34 weeks ! it burns day and night its so bad ! but a friend of mine who had twins also said drink heaps of milk let me tell ya it worked i still had a tad but not heaps ! And the hair on the head is a old wives tale ! my friend had it so bad her baby had no hair !"

Cori replied: "I am 26 weeks and just in the past week - I have been getting heart burn more regular. As far as I know its only going to get worse... sorry! :( Take TUMS! They are your friend!"

BergenD replied: "Yes, and maybe no. Yes...as the baby gets bigger it grows and pushes more on your stomache causeing heartburn. But...when the baby drops into your pelvis then you will get some relief! My first two pregnancies I think I ate three giant bottles of tums in the last four months! Luckily...not a problem this time...due in two weeks. (and heartburn isn't caused by a hormone...both my kids had zero hair when born)"

joyce f replied: "yes it gets alot worse at least it did with me, i have a bottle of maalox on my bedside table with a mug of water. i have found for me that milk products or milk helps along with for some reason applesause? strange but it helps me. i have also found i cannot eat a large amount after 8 pm because it makes it worse, so i just have a small snack before i go to bed and it seems to help alot at nite. hope this helps."

redmama of 2.5 <3 replied: "TRY CHEWING GUM! I KNOW IT SEEMS ALL IS LOST BUT KEEP TRYING! I TRIED MULTIPLE THINGS BEFORE I FOUND GUM. I AM ON MY THIRD BABY. HEART FELT YUCK!"

Bad heartburn and nausea in third trimester? I have had heartburn for quite some time during this pregnancy but I was managing it fine with Gaviscon Advance prescribed by my dr. But these last few days or so the gaviscon feels like its having minimal effect It can be so bad that the pain shoots through into my back. The Nausia has also returned. anyone else have this?

Lou replied: "Aw hun i remember the heartburn well :( Aw full eh?! Gaviscon done nothing to help me at all at one stage, It used to be so bad in bed at night sometimes i would actually be sick! Don't know if there is much else you can do for it though, Try not eating anything near bed time. I found drinking fruit juice always made mine 100 times worse. Hope it eases off soon! It feels so good after you have your baby....instant relief lol X"

Helen P replied: "God yes. :-( I would vomit from it and be uncomfortable nearly all the time.It was the worst thing of the last trimester. You probably know it's because the baby is pushing your stomach up and forcing acid back up your oesophagus. The things that helped me (a bit) were Fruit - that reduces acid and also helps prevent constipation which gives you more room for your stomach. Eating and drinking little and often so it has a chance to settle down. Staying upright as much as possible and propping yourself up when sleeping. One in ten people have a Hiatus Hernia which is when the hole in the diaphram that your Oesophagus goes through (like a straw in a drink carton) is too loose so that a bit of the stomach can be pushed up through it. The diaphram is meant to prevent that so acid stays down in the stomach but sometimes it doesn't and a lot of women will only find out they have one when they are pregnant. If that is the reason you are suffering you may find yourself doing a funny little cough. It's not dangerous. Also don't know if you're aware that Gaviscon has a lot of salt in it and can make swollen ankles etc a lot worse. Really feel for you. Its horrible."

Suze - mummy to Dylan and Elina replied: "I had the same problem! Got through gallons of gaviscon advance, and was also sick a lot right at the end of my pregnancy. Your digestive system is under a lot of pressure due to the baby taking up so much space! It does disappear as soon as you have the baby. And it's lovely to give up the gavsicon. Hang in there!"

My wife is getting heartburn during her 8th month of pregnancy. What does this mean? The old wives tale is that the baby is growing hair, is that true? What significance is there to heartburn during the third trimester?

kat replied: "It means that the baby is pushing all her organs around and there isn't much room in there. Heartburn is common in pregnancy especially toward the end."

Big Steaming Dump on a Cold Day replied: "It means she's having heartburn."

ColaBottle replied: "she needs rennie"

Mommyhood is good replied: "Your wife is having heartburn because all her internal organs are all smushed together. The old wives tale was true for me. I had awful heartburn, especially in the eighth and ninth months, and my son was born with a headful of curly brown hair! Tums became my best friend; I carried them in my purse!"

Cinnabryn replied: "The baby is getting bigger and pressing against her oesophagus. She's completely normal."

Sunshine replied: "NO it is NOT true"

27 weeks with Kelsey 6.25.09 :) replied: "she need to add more milk to her diet. :)"

NicoleLynn (Marine Wife<3) replied: "the wives tale is just that its not true heartburn is a normal symptom of pregnancy."

Tomb Raider Fanatic replied: "It means that she is so full that she is getting heartburn when she eats. Tell her not to eat spicy or greasy foods. I don't know about the hair thing, but I'm sure it isn't related to heartburn."

Vr replied: "It means that she's lucky she didn't get it sooner. I had horrible heartburn my entire pregnancy, and my son was born with very little hair."

mariposa replied: "It's quite normal. just all the acids and gases due to the pregnancy are a bit off. She'll be fine. Ginger ale or sprite worked for me."

? replied: "it only "signifies" that the uterus is pushing up on the diaphragm and there is less room for the digestive organs it is completely normal, but it feels awful try helping her sleep in a semi-sitting position, wih several pilows behind her back eating small meals instead of one large one"

rurouni replied: "It just means she's pregnant and the baby is taking up space and moving things around in there. It's a fairly common symptom which I was lucky enough not to experience with my baby girl. :) Oh yeah, and my daughter was born with a ton of hair (I am still getting comments on it at six months), so no relation. ;P"

NUGirl. Liam came 6 weeks early! replied: "In the 3rd trimester it means the baby is big and is taking space from her stomach. But there is some truth to the wives tale. According to Pregnancy magazine, a recent research study confirmed that women who experience moderate to severe heartburn are 80% more likely to have a hairy baby. It was certainly true for me, but my heart burn began in week 14."

gen replied: "It just means that the baby is taking up more room in there then before, so it's pushing her stomach up and making her stomach smaller. That's what's causing the heart burn. The hair thing is absolutely not true. I'm not even sure why anyone thought that in the first place. It's not like the baby's hair is rubbing on the stomach, the baby's in the uterus."

chickabee30 replied: "There is no significance. All it means is that the baby is growing larger and pushing in her organs causing the miserable heartburn. It is just that, an old wives tale."

Mrs. Naumann replied: "That is what they say that the baby has hair and this can be true or she could really have heartburn. she can take maalox to get rid of the heartburn. It is completley safe for the baby. I took it with my oldest son and it did wonders. "

Maddox (Mother To Be...) replied: "It means that she is luckier than most of us who get heartburn in their month 5... and may be earlier... other than that it means that in 1 month everything will be Fine and she will not even remember heartburn..."

Baby #1 due 6/25/09 replied: "There's no truth to the hair thing. The baby is enclosed in the uterus and has no way of having direct contact with the stomach or other organs. If she's just now getting heartburn in the 3rd trimester, she's lucky. I've got it horribly and I'm still only in the 2nd. It is very normal though. It has to do with hormones slowing down digestion and also the growing baby squashing all of mom's internal organs. The mom doesn't digest food as quickly so it sits in the belly longer & with the baby pressing on the stomach, the stomach gets smashed up against other things & basically the available space for whatever food is eaten is reduced. She can take TUMS & sleep with an extra pillow under her shoulders & head. It's also helpful to avoid any spicy or acidic & to cut back on caffeine."

eguru replied: "The growing baby lifts the stomach up and it's its juice that causes hearthburt. I had this problem a lot and tried to prevent it drinking milk and avoid very spicy foods or stuff like oranges and vinegar. Heartburn in pregnancy is completely normal."

Bluegirl replied: "she need to eat smaller meals more often. She needs to chew food more thoroughly, and she needs to not lay down after eating. All of these things can prevent heartburn."

Is it normal to always feel tired during the third trimester? I'm 29 weeks and always tired lately. Sometimes I don't even understand how I feel.. There are times when I get backaches and my baby's growing so fast now. My stomach feels soooo heavy and there are times when I also get heartburn and indigestion. Are you going through this at 29 weeks too? What should I do to feel less tired? I wish I could just chug down a bottle of red bull. I never seem to have enough energy.

Nicole replied: "I was like that too. Try Tums for the heartburn they worked great for me. Just take it easy and rest as much as possible."

Chrisamber W replied: "Yes just try taking a nap it should pass again just be patient"

fox_maple replied: "unfortunately yes! I know how you feel. I'm 36 weeks and chasing around a 2 year old boy. I'm so tired I could cry. To make matters worse, when I can sleep, I can't sleep well. Between trying to get comfortable with this huge belly, getting up to pee twice a night, and getting up to tend to my 2 year old (who also likes to get up at the crack of dawn), I'm lucky to get 6 hours a night. I can't wait to have the baby! (not that having him is going to make sleeping any easier!)"

Sue S replied: "this is your first? totally normal. Think of it this way, your baby is taking everything from you, take your prenatal vitamins, take tums for the heartburn, and take a nap when you need to. when baby is here you won't be sleeping as much as you would like so do it now. Eat healthy and your hormones are going crazy, nothing to worry about."

Mommadukes replied: "It is not unusual to be tired. Your baby is taking a lot of vitamins and nutrients from you plus carrying the extra weight. If you are not taking prenatal vitamins you should. They help but made me gassy. I had the heartburn and indigestion too it is also normal. Ask your doctor if you can take something for it."

C B replied: "I feel for you. I am 32 weeks and this week I have felt like I was hit by a truck - over and over and over again! It used to just be the odd day that I felt this way, but it has been every day lately. I am making myself shower and look nice each morning, because for some reason that seems to help me feel bettter about myself instead of laying around in pajamas all day (though believe me, I'd love to!). I also make myself take a 1/2 hour walk each day to get the blood flowing. That also helps with energy. We are almost there! Home stretch... congratulations, best of luck and hang in there!"

Any ladies in the third trimester experience a sharp pain on the right side of their waist and back? I am 29 almost 30 weeks pregnant, and for the last hour I have been getting a sharp yet dull ache on the side of my waist and back (it is not sciatic pain). Along with this pain I have insane heartburn and indigestion. I also got a braxton hicks contraction 5 minutes ago. Please let me know if this is normal, and not signs of pre term labor. Thanks in advance.

Brandee L replied: "I got that with my first pregnancy.. No, it wasn't pre-term labor. It was sooo painful though!"

kari w replied: "This may be a sign of urinary infection; common in late pregnancy and usually on the right side. If it continues or gets worse see your doctor It won't hurt the baby. It does not sound like labour."

WOWZA! replied: "I don't know if it's normal but I do have them! On the right side of my back. It feels like I need to crack my back but I just can't because it's off to the side. My doctor told me today that the baby is pressing on nerves and stuff now and there is nothing they can do help me. It sucks, it's so uncomfortable. I'm 35 weeks."

Jen Jen replied: "Heartburn & indigestion is normal. Its more than likely all braxton hicks. If your still hurting in the morning, call your Dr."

lafranklin85 replied: "I remember those, like it was yesterday. I t is very normal for this stage in pregnancy. You might also be experiencing the leg cramps and aches at night too. To help with those my mom told me to put a pillow in between my legs at night, and it helps! Trust me you'll know when its time to go to the hospital!!"

Laurellamags replied: "the pain your experience is normal, its your uterus stretching and preparing for birth. so in a way its kind of preterm labor, but will last for a few weeks."

who else here thinks that the third trimester stinks? I am 35 weeks pregnant and so uncomfortable at this point. My belly feels like it's going to explode and my back is hurting like there is no tomorrow. Let me add the lovely heartburn and newly discovered acne on my chin and to top it off let's add the numbness in my thighs. I mean I am already totally in love with my little sweetie, but still would love to hear from others sharing this awful symptoms.

Due Oct 21st, Its a boy replied: "yes it stinks, Im 32 weeks and just as miserable, my feet hurt, they are sore, my back hurts, even my butt cheeks hurt lol, and when I sit or lay down I get socked in the ribs constantly, heartburn..yeah dealing with alot of that as well and running to the bathroom every 2 minutes..but only 6 weeks and 6 days to go"

shygurlie replied: "omg tell me about it im 37 weeks and my due date feels like a lifetime now...i have bad insomnia on top of that once i do fall asleep i have to get up to go to the bathroom ugggh...soo annoying but i wouldn't change it for the world. Try doing some squats will help your body warm up for labor...good luck!!"

Mommy to be 2 my Lil Princess replied: "Well im 33 1/2 weeks and even though i am feeling great....Im just sooooo tired of being pregnant i just want my little girl here. And since im feeling ok most of the time i feel like she doesn't want to come. And it doesn't help that i have gained 9 lbs in the last month ha ha. I have to pee every 20 mins, my feet hurt if i walk to long, i cant sleep like i want to, and the list goes on. But I taking it one day at a time and as long as she is healthy she can stay as long as she would like."

Navy Wife waiting on Nov 2nd! replied: "Im just getting to 31 weeks and starting to get my butt kicked. Im back to sleeping 10-11 hours a night again with back pain that Ive never experienced so badly in all my life. Cant wait to see what the upcoming weeks hold *sarcasm*....."

baby girl due 10/25/09 replied: "I agree. I'm 31 weeks and everyday I have a thousand annoying symptoms. Sore feet, back, hips, sensitive teeth, itchy stretch marks, heartburn, sore ribs(from her kicking), trouble sleeping, sore knees. I'm constantly tired, feel bloated, horrible break outs. I got slapped with gestational diabetes so now I can even indulge in the sweets I crave. But just think soon you'll have a beautiful baby. You only have 5 weeks left lucky you."

how safe are sleeping tablets in third trimester of pregnancy? I am going out of my mind due to lack of sleep, between heartburn, loo trips and not getting comfortable, and the anxiety of a baby arriving in about 7 weeks, i cant remember the last time i actually slept even if it was for four hours straight, i am lucky if i get an hour. I am so tired and i get cranky at my hubby and son and they don't deserve it. I have read that restavit is safe to take, i am 32 weeks pregnant and desperately need a good night's sleep. Has anyone else tried these???

luvnbirth replied: "visit your health food store and ask for chamomile or valerian..they are safer...Also you may like to have a small glass of wine before bed..yes its safe"

jaicie2005 replied: "Dont take anything without asking your doc first. Most likely, he will perscribe something he KNOWS is safe to take. I take Aciphex for my reflux, but made sure to ask if it was ok to continue it after becoming preggo and he confirmed it was. He may even perscribe something for your anxiety instead if it is safer, but inform him of your troubles and he should give you somethin to help!"

3275362 replied: "DON"T take any advice from any one who isn't certified to answer that question!!! Call your local hospital(any hospital as they are 24 hr) and ask for the maternity ward, then ask the nurse who answers the phone that question, she is certified!!!"

M Kerr RN L&D replied: "Unisom is 100% safe and on my list of "safe" meds to take! "

kareinone36 replied: "The doc. told my daughter she could take tyenol pm to help her sleep. Hope you get some sleep soon."

LeAnn replied: "No. As far as I know the are not safe. I did run in to the problem with my last pregnancy. I broke down crying in the Dr's office (Due to lack of sleep) She said I could take benedryl to help me sleep. Ask you doctor though before you take anything. It isn't worth hurting your baby over."

Doodlestuff replied: "I personally don't think any sleeping pill is safe in pregnancy. It would make no difference for the heartburn and loo trips in any case. My suggestion is to get one of those cushy mattress pads with that special foam to make your mattress more comfortable (way improved mine!), elevate your chest and head for sleep (to help with the heartburn) and just plan on loo trips."

Crazy_Beautiful replied: "you can safely take tylenol PM during your pregnancy. Congrats on the upcoming arrival of your baby! :)"

No pregnancy symptoms until third trimester :(? I've made it this far with absolutely no symptoms. It has been the easiest pregnancy. No nausea, no cramping, no back pain - nothing. Now suddenly in my last trimester the constant heartburn and constipation have kicked in. It's gonna be a miserable summer. :( Any pregnancy complaints you'd like to share?

Having another Boy due Nov. replied: "lol lucky you.. i havnt really had anything either just every now and then i get a bit sick but i dont complain i was far more sicker with my first.... :)"

joujou replied: "tired of my back killing me hate not being able to sleep because i cant get comfortable and the list goes on lol .. 32weeks pregnant baby#3"

shancaj33 Due Oct 21 :) replied: "well im 22 weeks with my 3rd child and the headaches, heartburn, my feet are already swelling and Im already miserable..lol..I havent had any nausea either thank God but the heartburn and headaches makeup for it..I also give out of breath easy..."

Katie F replied: "im about to hit my 4 & 1/2 mark and i feel like a planet. my jeans no longer fit and im at the stage where if i wear a tight shirt, people think im fat rather than prego. I also threw away the two scales in my house, im gaining about 1/2 lb every couple of days & i dont want numbers screaming in my face. Well that felt good, and even with all the weight gain, fatigue, etc.. im still overjoyed for my new little one :] it just feels good to let it out, men really have no idea. haha"

What everyday foods are good for pregnancy heartburn? Well folks, I am hitting that third trimester, and the baby is high enough and pushing everything up enough to give me good old heartburn at night. I just wanted to see what natural suggestions people had for getting rid of the heartburn. This is my second time around and I don't remember what all I did with my first, besides Tums. I'm looking for more along the lines of what I should put in dinner to help.

hhsbandgeek replied: "flat pop ( icky as that sounds) and crackers"

Kayla's Mommy replied: "Green Apples helped at first but my heart burn and indigestion was so bad that I had to get a prescription from the doctor to help me. Everything stopped working."

alexis73102 replied: "Avoid alot of sodium if you can. But honestly heartburn will happen no matter what because everything is so squished due to the size of the baby. There have been times I've taken a deep breath to yawn and got heartburn."

Hot mami replied: "eat crackers and sip a tablespoon full of olive juice i know gross but it helped me also dnt eat greasy foods and dnt drink anything wit ur meal eat ur meals alone n then have sumthin to drink"

Sabs replied: "My grandmother used boiled potatoes since she refused to put any chemicals at all in her body. Hope it helps. I find that starchy foods do cut down for me but I need pepcid ac and tums.... Actually told by my doc I could take both. That's the only reason I am doing both and starches :D"

Lucy S replied: "milk is a great help to!"

Hello Friend replied: "Have a glass of chocolate milk with your dinner, it's helped me immensely!"

Sandra87 replied: "Banana's are awesome. I had indigestion every single day of my pregnancy, The only thing that helped me was ALOT of milk and banana's. Also try taking some liquid antacids such as mylanta or gaviscon. These helped me alot!"

qtey2002 replied: "Well Drinking a cup of milk always helps me. I'm 33 wks along and I know all about the heartburn. Another thing you could do would be to try and hold off on your tomato type foods. That's one of the worse heartburn starters for me bc of the acidicness of anything tomato LOL. Also keep a extra large container of tums by your bed at nite ;) Water sometimes helped also, or taking a bath. Dunno why but it works for me"

Angelina's Mommy replied: "i used Rolaids. When you eat spicy food or foods that have alot of grease go for a walk and wait 3 hours before you go to sleep. Prop up your head with a blanket or a pillow to that helps alot."

Is the third trimester supposed to be this bad?!? I am at 26 weeks. I had a pretty good first and second tri, but all the sudden I have been hit with a million physical difficulties! I can't sleep at night. I have daily migraines. My back hurts all the time. I am really weepy and moody. I am more tired than I was in the first tri. I'm getting nauseous again, light-headed, pain all over, loss of appetite, complete lack of any energy whatsoever, heartburn, sour stomach, diarrehea, and on and on. Is this normal? Why is pregnancy so hard all the sudden?

Victoria replied: "I honestly don't know why exactly you are having such a hard time. Some women just have a harder time and more physical difficulties. If you feel it is too much you can call your doctor or a conculting nurse. Be happy it's almost over and soon you will have a beautiful boy/girl!"

anjelahoy replied: "the end is usuually pretty hard. I always had the hardest time the last month. Many pains and sches seem to get worse as the baby grows. good luck"

Jennifer H replied: "Welcome to the long-haul. Sleep as much as you can, invest in a body pillow, get some exercise every day, keep taking the prenatal vitamins, and drink plenty of fluids because dehydration makes it all worse. It always gets worse before it gets better."

pookiesmom replied: "Have you talked to your Dr about all this? In some ways it gets harder but I didn't have any of those issues for the most part..more trouble breathing from them pushing into my lungs, not being able to get comfortable sleepings, etc. Hav eyou had high blood pressure at all? WIth my 2nd pregnancy (twins) I was getting more heachaches and high blood pressure with swelling and turned out I was getting preeclampsia"

kattsmeow replied: "When is your next appointment. If it is within a week, I'd wait and discuss this with your doctor. If it is more than a week, I would call and make one for asap. There are many things that CAN go wrong in the last trimester and I think you should be checked out. I have four kids and I was uncomfortable but never miserable the 3rd tri."

paganmom26 replied: "Honestly, the 3rd trimester was the easiest for me. Are you still taking your prenatal vitamins? Have you mentioned this to your doctor?"

western b replied: "lol welcome to the home stretch! yep...it really is this bad. I think nature designs the third trimester to be absolute torture so we are SO ready to give birth, we don't even care about the pain of labour anymore :) lol"

sweetboniie replied: "i would get checked at your docs i had sleep probs, indigestion, felt sick, and had some pain in the back ,chest and legs in the 3rd trimester.Migraines are not a good sign get checked out."

july replied: "i don't think it is normal to have all that at once but you have a whole little life taking up a lot of space inside you and feeling bad is normal. but if you are feeling that bad, go see your doctor."

Jessie replied: "I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Unfortunately pregnancy can take a toll on us. Maybe it won't last very long and is only for a litttle bit. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon."

ashbaby469556 replied: "Not to be negative but yes the last trimester is rough. Just wait until the end! I didn't feel bad at all until weeks 35-39 whew...it all hit at once and I was like ALRIGHT C'MON OUT BABY! hee hee As for you, I don't know about the diarrehea & migraines but everything else sounds pretty normal to me. Check with your OBGYN though. Good luck to you and congrats!"

n o replied: "I hear ya girl. I'm at 32 weeks and I feel worse than I did in the first trimester. Now I have ribs that are crossing one another and it hurts like hell!!!! I'm only 4'11 and my belly is huge. Hang in there!! It's my first too- I didn't think it would be so hard."

Meg S replied: "its normal yes...happened to me too! most of the symptoms are from you hormones climbing higher and higher throughout pregnancy...especially the migraines errrrr.....and I begged to be induced early because I could never sleep as well....it sucks! just hang in there, nap in day if your able at all, for some reason that worked for me sometimes..hope you feel better soon!"

megyar replied: "sounds like your hormones are changing to get ready for a birth and it sounds like you are really stressed - the added weight will cause the fatigue and lethargy - Try to eat all fresh organic foods and drink more water - the nausea will get better the more you keep your stomach full...Sorry your having such a bad go of it. Take some time to de-stress, hire a housekeeper, go swimming where there is no stress on your bones and back - and most of all sleep as much as you can!!!You won't get the same restful sleep ever again!!!the heartburn and sour stomach could be helped by drinking more milk -it worked for me - also indulge your cravings and eat whatever you want!!! Greasy food can cause migraines, lethargy and bad moods even, eat fresh and local foods, healthy drinks too."

CHELBY H replied: "i feel the same way...i had really easy first and second trimesters and then all of a sudden at 71/2 months bam i was hit with every symptom in the book...i have read books and they say that every woman's pregnancy is different some will experience symptoms all through pregnancy some will not experience symptoms at all and others will experience symptoms intermittently...but towards the end of pregnancy i think every woman starts to feel it more because of the super huge "baby bump" the changes in hormones, carrying all of the extra weight around...etc...but by the time it gets really bad the pregnancy is almost over thank god!!! i wish you the best with your pregnancy!!!"

good_answerer replied: "I dunno, im 29 weeks and my back has started aching recently, and my hormones have gone off the scale. I too, am suffering from stomach problems and my insomnia has come back - i dont get to sleep till arounf 2am everyday...its really bad. Yea, i guess in the 3rd trimester your body is being worked really hard to supply the needs of your ever-growing baby and yourself, so feeling more tired than usual. Your back aches because baby is getting bigger and heavier, so it strains your backbone and maybe pelvis area."

TerWii replied: "I know that this isn't nice to say-but I am so happy to hear someone else share what I have been feeling. I am almost 27 weeks pregnant and I have been going through the same stuff. I wasn't ready for it to hit. Good luck and hang in there!!!"

JENNLUPE replied: "I am two weeks behind youwith my fourth child and unfortunately these symptoms sound normal. I was tired, and weighted down, It is terribly difficult to sleep, especially becasue of having to get up and go to the restroom more and more. Emotions do tend to overwelm you form time to time. You feel less humngry becasue the baby is growing and taking up space that food usually habitats. This is why you have heartburn and sour stomach. (I have actually thrown up a few times this week because I can only eat very small portions and not a whole meal) My doctor said I could take Pepcid for the reflux and stomach acid. I am not sure about the diareah. I would call about that one as my doctor told me that the reason I get constipated is because the digestive system slows down in order to absorb more nutrients. You need to drink lots of water and discussthis with you doctor. I am sorry that you are having a hard ime, I know how you feel and I hope it goes by fast for you. Good luck"

aerofrce1 replied: "Yes this is completely normal... ~try taking a shower before you go to bed at night it helped me relax and sleep better and body pillows are great too...I also used lavendar smell on my pillow cases. ~migraines you should talk to your doctor about. ~Backaches are really common and the shower at night seems to help those too...I ended up buying a back massage mat that fit on my chair. ~Lightheaded is easily solved by buying some snack size packages of peanut butter and crackers and keeping them with you at all times... ~Pain all over is also solved with a shower (I spent the last 3 months in the shower lol) ~Loss of appitite is common don't worry about it. ~Lack of energy...take a nap. If this is your first sleep as much as you can! ~Stomach issues you can talk to your doctor about, my doc let me take tums and pepto besmol The last 3 months are the pits :( But they go by fast...try and get lots of rest, snack little snacks throughout the day and take care of yourself, let people pamper you because it's going to be a long time before they will again :)"

Margie W replied: "Please go see your OB/Gyn immeriatly or go to the emergency room It sounds like you are getting toxemia where as your own body due to hormone changes are poisoning your own body. Please DO NOT PANIC!! It happens and with proper Dr.s care & rest you can make it thru this. I did with 2 of my kids. The last one I even became allergic to any sunshine, and she is now 26 years old. Thke care of yourself and that little precious one!"

shortysml replied: "Some women go thru pregnancy a lil more harder than others. As you go thru your third tri. you will get tired again as you are getting bigger and so is baby. You will be achy due to that also. I'm emotional throughout my preg. so that will continue for me. It's just some of the side effects of being pregnant and it will be over soon and you will be glad to go thru that for your precious lil bundle of joy! Also since each pregnancy is different, if you get pregnant again it may be a piece of cake and you may not get the same symptons as this one. Good Luck and congrats on your pregnancy!"
