"So what if I can't get the banner to work or if I want to contact you?"

So you've made your banner choice, and now you want to put it up on your site? No problem! Below you can find the correct procedure. Just do as explained, and everything should work out alright. If you still encounter technical problems, you can contact us, of course!

  • Save the banner of your choice to your harddrive (Right mouse click, and choose "Save picture as").

  • Copy the HTML-code that you see under the banner, on that specific banner's page.

  • Paste the HTML-code to the place in your webpage where you want the banner to be.

  • Don't forget to add your unique SiteRing ID number in the appropriate place in the HTML code of the banner. This is where it says =siteid in the code of the banner that you chose. You just have to add the site id number that you got in the sign-up e-mail.

    <a href="http://pub39.bravenet.com/sitering/nav.php?usernum=3321505571&action=join&siteid=(siteid)" target="_blank">

    where you would have to change (siteid) with the site ID number that was provided to you with your sign-up e-mail, so that you would then get something like this:

    <a href="http://pub39.bravenet.com/sitering/nav.php?usernum=3321505571&action=join&siteid=39408" target="_blank">

    where 39408 is obviously replaced by *your* siteid number (you have to fill out your site id 5 times, once for each button, and loose the brackets ( ) ).

  • Don't forget to upload both the banner, and your updated webpage onto your server so that the banner is there for everyone to see! The banner should be in the same directory as the webpage. If you want the banner to be in a subdirectory, for instance because you want it to be in the same directory as all your other images, don't forget to adapt the code of the banner accordingly. If you don't know what we're talking about here, because you don't know enough of HTML, you can completely disregard this last remark (or bug us, but do it gently, or we'll bite.....).

  • If you fail to place the banner on a clearly visible place on your site, we won't approve your site to the ring... the idea is that you show you're part of the ring, so we get a bit more exposure, obviously!

That should be it....

It might sound a bit confusing, but if you have more questions about how to add the banner to your webpage, don't hesitate to contact us:
