When you begin your Alli Diet, do you have all the side effects? Since you have been eating fattening foods? Just wondering what day would be best for me to start! I already have my pills, just would like to hear from someone who has also used Ali.

Monikka K replied: "if u wana lose weight at home without exercising...... the best way to lose weight and u will find so many tips for weight loose and weight loose reciepes. u can try them and lose weight at home easily."

What foods can you eat on the diet pill alli?? I know you need to eat low fat foods, only 15 g a meal I believe 3 times a day. Is there anyone out there taking the pill...does it work?? And also can you recommend some low fat foods/meals to eat?? Thanks!

Sarah Smile replied: "My coworker is taking it and it doesnt work, save your money. She even got the stronger kind from her doctor and it is not working that well. Definitely read up on it before you waste your money. From what I understand, you only lose about 4% more weight in a YEAR as opposed to not taking it. Basically all it does is deter you from eating fatty foods otherwise you fart oil in your pants, its just a deterrent, save the $40-50 bucks and just say no to fatty foods."

Cassey G replied: "I took this pill when it was giving as prescription only. It is very harsh on your stomach. Don't eat anything with fats. Salads with salad dressing, sweets, fatty meats. I can't tell you how many pairs of jeans I ended up ruining. Do not leave home without a change of clothes for your bottom half. Don't trust a poot!!!!"

For the ppl that take the diet pill alli? what type of foods do you eat? I am confused on how much of what tpes of food could get to eat since can only have 15grams of fat.. What are some things you eat at breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks...

EyeKinKnotSea replied: "diet pills are for lazy people."

karen r replied: "Foods that are low in fat are normally foods that are high in fiber, breakfast would be hot cereals that you make from scratch, berries fruits. This morning I had high fiber multigrain hot cereal with blueberries. Lunch will be high fiber, I mixed black beans, pinto beans, garbanzo beans together and added chopped celery and red onions with a low fat Italian salad dressing. Dinner will be buffalo meat, it is the lowest in fat of the red meats, even lower then turkey and chicken. I buy it a trader Joe's. It comes frozen and I cook it on my George foreman grill, you need this grill because you just put your meat on it and close the lid and it cooks fast and all of the fat drips into a dripping cup under the grill. It is electric, I bought the smaller size at target. I will also have a salad and the salad should have lots of veggies chopped onto it, at least five different veggies, like green onions, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, beets., with a fat free dressing."

should i buy the new diet pill Alli or order Nutrisystem foods? Which will work better in helping me lose 100 pounds in 6 months?

xx mwah xx ;0) replied: "to be honest the best way is not to go on a diet as ive tried them all and diet pills and they dont work lol but just change your diet and go swimming 4-5 times a week for about an hour each time it tones your tummy and all your body up wonderful too ! i lost 2 stone since may its great and i eat loads too im just eating the right foods but instead of swimming try aqua arobics its great and really fun ! great question star for you and goodluck"

Whitney replied: "Nutrisystem"

<3 replied: "i think you should do nutrisystem because it will teach you how to eat, and the alli pill.. i wouln't trust that.. it probably works but i'm guessing you want to keep the weight off and not have to depend on a pill."

Shannon L replied: "Of the two, I DEFINITELY say go with the Nutrisystem meals. Read the ads for the Alli pill. It basically tells you to commit yourself to eating right and exercising daily. NO PILL IS THE ANSWER. Just because it's the first to be FDA approved, doesn't mean everyone should rush out, take it, and drop hundreds of pounds right away. The ad says to eat well and exercise. You don't need a pill to help you do that. Try to set a more reasonable goal of about 50 pounds in 6 months. Losing more than 2 pounds a week typically means you're losing muscle weight, not fat. You don't want to deplete your body of muscle tissue because it helps burn fat faster. Best of luck!"

Luci replied: "I think that it's better to go with Alli because it's a better way to lose weight, although, I'm not sure if it will help you lose weight in 6 months. You should check out it's website b/c it's informative. "

kestrelk8 replied: "i don't know about the alli pill but i do know one thing...if it sounds too good to be true...it is. ESPECIALLY when it comes to weight loss. nutrisystem will show you how to eat correctly interms of getting all of your essential macronutrients in a balanced fashion at each meal. it will also show you what kinds of foods you should be eating. 80% of the way your body looks is because of what you eat so if you want weight loss results that will last go with nutrisystem."

CDRN replied: "Losing 100 lbs in 6 months is too much to lose in that amount of time. You won't keep it off, if you do that and you are setting yourself up for failure. You still have to watch what you eat with Alli and the side effects are undesireable. If you want to lose weight and keep it off then you need to rethink how you are going to do this."

Mark A replied: "There is only one way to lose weight. Exercise and cut calories. There is no quick fix, there never has been, there never will be. Nutrisystem and Weight Watchers are successful for two simple reasons. You need to exercise, and the meals are low in calories. There is NO substitute for diet and exericse. NONE."

kdinitz replied: "No pill is going to help. They are all scams!! Nutrisystem is good. There are soooo many websites to help you lose weight by eating right and giving you ways to track your progress and give you tips. I am on weight watchers on line and I love the support you can get from message boards. Lots of weight loss sites have message boards. One word of caution. Trying to lose 100 pounds in 6 months is really fast. Its much better to lose it slower. Losing it really fast makes it almost impossible to keep it off. Also don't forget about exercise!! The most important aspect of all! Good luck!"

erinshesse replied: "Both are crap. Try Precision Nutrition. You've probably never heard of it because it's not a fad diet. It's about lifestyle and eating habit changes. People that are into serious fitness eat the way Precision Nutrition dictates. It will open your eyes and there are forums you can join to get really good advice along with a whole group of support for reaching your short and longterm fitness goals."

Andy Lewis replied: "New diet pill Alli is FDA approved OTC diet pills which is clinically proven to get rig of extra pounds provided you follow the guidelines properly. Alli is not a magic pill to reduce weight and you must follow the diet plan and excercise to get rid of extra weight although using alli diet pill may result in some side effects also. Ѻ replied: "They damage your liver."

Daisy. replied: "There were reports that these products cause damage to the liver. Diet pills are a waste of money, don't work, and many are actually bad for you. No pill, potion or supplement will help. All you need to lose weight is a good healthy diet and execise - it takes time and motivation :)"

does anyone taking alli diet pills pee out grease? I have heard many things about pooping grease when taking alli, if you eat greasy foods, but does your pee come out out the same?

kay_flood replied: "of course not, the kidneys are not affected by alli, it remains in the digestive tract."

Rainbowbright1 replied: "yes! It happned to me too! No accidents thankfully. But yes both pee and poopi are orange in color....soooo groooosss."

New diet supplement ALLI? Hi, I am 20 pounds overweight. I was 5'4" and 150 and built like a brick outhouse, because I am a contract landscaper and allways was intil I needed my knee repaced. Because I could not walk, run, jump climb trees , mow lawns. NOTHING. I gained 20 pounds. I am back to work almost 5 months after the surgery. I have not lost an ounce SO, I tried Alli. BUT my fat inhtake is so low allready that I am having NONE of the supposed symptoms. I am still 200 caleries a day over my limit, of 1200, and my fat intake is suppose to nbne 36 grams a day, I am still getting 300 grams a day. While eating diet food, weight control shakes, and enough fruit to hurt a monkey! I AM HUNGRY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Alli diet is not working for me, first I do not annaly release any fat, because I do not intake any fat, and I am soooo very hungry. ANY suguestions?

sabrina23 replied: "stay away from starches, dairy, and fatty carbs. The ALLI diet suppliment is only meant to HELP you with your weight loss, it's not supposed to burn the fat for you, or curb you appetite as some suppliments are falsely advertised. If you drink loads of water, and eat six small meals a day with 30 or more minutes of cardio a day you will see your weight drop and your body shape into a tall, lean shape. Cardio does not have to involve running, it can be walking, biking, skating, kick boxing, jumping on the tampoline, swimming etc. Try to stay away from diet pills/suppliments, they can only help you so much, but after that it's up to you to take the initiative and lose the weight. Good Luck!"

SexyTrojan replied: "Bugs, Eat more vegetables. They are low calorie, low carb and high in fiber so they will fill you up. From what I understand, with Alli, even if your fat intake is low (which it has to be), the pill will eliminate 1/4 of it from your digestive track."

Mary replied: "Well, your case is somewhat confusing. People have different metabolisms, but usually when they eat so few calories that they are always hungry, then they lose weight. Stay away from Alli, particularly since you are eating a low fat diet to begin with. How much protein do you consume? A high protein, low carbohydrate diet tends to burn off calories for most people. Have you tried to starve at some point in time? I wonder if your body is in starvation mode. When you eat too few calories, your body tries to conserve calories."

bubblesxfun replied: "alli more or less dosent control ur cravings and so wouldnt help u at all in that factor to lose weight the safe way just do some good cardio and occupy ur time with something u love to do"

Who thinks the Alli diet pills are disgusting and dangerous??? What are treatment effects? alli™ works by preventing the absorption of some of the fat you eat. The fat passes out of your body, so you may have bowel changes, known as treatment effects. You may get: gas with oily spotting loose stools more frequent stools that may be hard to control What to expect The excess fat that passes out of your body is not harmful. In fact, you may recognize it as something that looks like the oil on top of a pizza. Eating a low-fat diet lowers the chance of these bowel changes. Limit fat intake in your meals to an average of 15 grams. Learn more about following a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet. Learning how to manage treatment effects is an important part of being successful with alli. Here's how to take control: Start trimming fat from your diet now, even before you begin taking alli. Then pick a day to begin taking alli, such as a weekend day so you can stay close to home if you experience a treatment effect. Make the timing work for you. If you're getting ready to travel or attend a social event, hold off on starting with alli until the event is over While no one likes experiencing treatment effects, they might help you think twice about eating questionable fat content. If you think of it like that, alli can act like a security guard for your late-night cravings You can't "save fat grams" from lunch and "spend them" at dinner. Spread your daily fat gram allowance of 15 grams on average per meal over the whole day You may feel an urgent need to go to the bathroom. Until you have a sense of any treatment effects, it's probably a smart idea to wear dark pants, and bring a change of clothes with you to work You may not usually get gassy, but it's a possibility when you take alli. The bathroom is really the best place to go when that happens You can use a food journal to recognize what foods can lead to treatment effects. For example, writing down what you eat may help you learn that marinara sauce is a better option than Alfredo sauce

Christy L replied: "Anything that's going to make you crap yourself is out of the question for me. I've been eating a healthy, low-fat, nutritious diet and have lost 40 lbs since Jan. the healthy way, no diet pills, no surgery...just good food and exercise."

Bugged Out replied: "I've taken Alli since it came on the market, about 4 weeks. In that time I have lost 8 pounds without changing my diet or exercise. I have changed from an evening heavy meal to a lite meal. I eat a heavier meal at lunch. I have no real side effects. Loose stools but certainly not out of control. I can handle meetings, etc without worry. I think they advertise the side effects so they don't get sued by some nut case. For me it is an excellent experience. I am excited to see where my weight ends up."

nikkoli121 replied: "At least they recommend things like dark pants in case you crap on yourself, taking it on your days off to avoid humiliating yourself in front of your co-workers, and staying close to the bathroom, just in case ;-) THANKS ALLI! "

live75 replied: "Been taking it for about a week and a half. Have had some leakage and what I see in the toilet ain't nice (think oil and water)- but overall, nothing that hasn't gotten better. It does make you think very carfully about what you're willing to eat. Also, it's not all about "this pill", the starter pack has lots of info about fat contents, healthy eating options, even fast food calories/fat list. That has made me more aware, but it is gross that the treatment effects are not ideal- but do seem to instill willpower..."

Has anyone used the diet pill Alli to help loose pregnancy weight? Did it work at all? How was your diet? I still eat greasy food once in a while. What was your experience or someone you know?

Rad-Tech replied: "I hear that you lose weight with it. Not alot, but you do lose some. The person I spoke with said it gives her diarrhea frequently, so she basically poops everything out. Kinda yucky, but true. :)"

8/23 I love you Jaiden replied: "my mom use to take them pills she said it gave her really bad cramp pains and diarrhea. i wouldnt take it with out asking your docotor first."

heatre24 replied: "Diet pills are never a good idea. People need to just eat healthy food and exercise, not depend on a pill that claims to help you lose weight. You probably would, but the minute you went off it, you'd probably gain all of it (if not more) back. Especially don't use a diet pill if you're breastfeeding! Just walk when you're ready!"

#1 due 8/2/09 replied: "I read the most frequent side effect is "uncontrollable oily stools" so I'd consider it a last resort"

Baby Owen due 4/1/09 replied: "I've taken Alli to lose weight in the past, but I wouldn't recommend any type of diet pill if you are planning on breastfeeding. Alli works, but you have to follow the guidelines. You have to eat 15 grams of fat or less per meal or you will have serious leakage ( the grease will literally leak out of you). This never happened to me, but it happened to my husband and a few of our friends. I liked taking Alli because it scares you into eating well. I lost 2-3 lbs a week on it."

Does the Alli diet work, if used properly? Hello, I am 22 years old, and I am about 5'9 207 lbs. In high school, I weighed 183 lbs, and I was in shape. Its so hard to get down to my normal size, and I am tired of having to wear certain shirts I feel comfortable in, and im tired of not being able to take my shirt off anymore. I had a friend who used the Alli diet and he said that it works great as long as you eat healthy foods during the diet. I was wondering if I used this substance during my diet of subway/salads and low fatning foods..... will I see results a lot faster? Me and a friend have an obstacle course in the woods that we built, similar to the ones Army forts use and ROTC in high school. Any info on Alli would be great! Thanks!

jennacate replied: "ive thought about using it.i heard though that all it does is make you have bad diarrea when you eat fatty foods, which makes you eat healthier the next time... im too scared to eat it honestly :/"

Bucket replied: "Yeah, I think so. I never tried it myself, but a friend of mine did and she looked fantastic within a few weeks. Just be aware that you'll be in the bathroom a lot. And as a tip, if you know you're going to be eating an especially fatty/greasy meal, don't take the Alli-- it will only make you spend more time in the bathroom."

. replied: "Any diet plan will work as long as you have a balanced diet and are active. But really, those are the only two things you need to maintain a healthy weight. You don't need pills, you just need to eat properly and not be sedentary. Pills are just a gimmick. Our bodies are designed to be a certain weight and size, if we are consistant with our "upkeep" of them there is no way we can get out of shape, that depends on our motivation and what we choose to eat."

yommys01 replied: "Why do you and so many other people run around in search of non-existing “Magic Pill”. This does not affect weight loss alone but every human health problems ranging from headache, heart burn, cough and cold to diabetes! and it is no different when weight loss is the topic. But the question is Does magic pills truly exist on earth or are people been deceived into buying this products so that the Manufacturers and dealers can make some money ? Well read this article and find out the truth. Now come to think of it: If there were to be anything such as a magic weight loss pill that would help shed as much fat as possible while still enjoying all our favorite meals like candy, chocolate and sweets would any of us have trouble in losing weight? won’t every body be a successful weight loser? won’t the world be full of thin people only? won’t the world “obesity be deleted from the dictionary ? The simply truth is that there is no such thing as weight loss pill; there has never been and I am so sure there will never be any as such in the future. It is definitely impossible to be thin and acquire the “nice shape” we seek while still eating all the fatty and junk foods, just as it is not possible to get drenched in rain day after day and not catch a cold on one night! You not only waste your money by buying these so call weight loss pills but you also endanger your life and health by using this useless pills. You need to know that these so call diet pills contain high level of ephedra, a banned substance in the USA. Ephedra is known to cause a serious health problem and that’s why it has been banned in the USA. Not only that, you also feel bad and frustrated after wasting money and effort on these pills. You feel as though weight loss is not possible, that the whole weight loss industry is a scam. It endangers your confidence and help you give up easily. So what is the solution to this problem? I would advice you first forget about achieving quick weight loss. In fact delete it from your memory as it is almost impossible. There is no formula that can give you quick weight loss. Though there are some of them but they are only on short term basis. The best bet to weight loss is through the tested and trust able diet and exercise formula. Note, by Diet I mean healthy eating and not starvation. Exercise, I know you it is very difficult to exercise and you probably hate that world but take note that if you can not exercise then you can not lose weight within the shortest possible time! If you think that herbal supplements are Okay , think again! Many of the herbal supplements are not always 100% safe and natural as they claim to be! Before taking any supplement, it is always a good idea to consult with your doctor. Visit for the best of weight loss tips"
