Introduction The Squad was formed in 1985 by a group of coaches and shooters to provide coaching and training opportunities in the international pistol shooting (ISSF) disciplines. Since Feb '98, when the use of cartridge pistols was banned for most of the UK, the Squad continued its activities with air pistols and added rifle shooting to its activities.The Squad is open to shooters, who want to train with a coach's guidance. You may want to get into the National Squad, or reach a standard where you can represent your region. The Squad can help. Aims:

When and where?Our 'home' for 10m shooting in the WMRSC, Wolverhampton. There are 10 training days per year for precision shooting. For 25m and 50m shooting we have used use the MLAGB's Wedgnock ranges, a mile from Warwick and continually look for other venues. See our current programme. |

Who is eligible? |

You need to have your own equipment, or have access to some. You should live within the Region, as defined by Sport England. Click for map. If you live outside the Region, then as long as there is no similar squad in your region (NSRA has details), we welcome your application. We want to hear from shooters who are prepared to work to achieve their goals. Young and junior (U21) shooters are especially welcome.
