Images have always excited me, whether it's pictures in an art gallery, graffiti on the wall, a fifty foot billboard, flyers, stickers or an album cover. Days I would walk around a town or city for hours and just look for things to look at. Crazy you may think but it was like addiction. [view visual gubbins] Reading If you go on holiday, it's almost compulsary to take a chunky book to while away those hours when nothing at all is happening. Of course with crawling train journey's and five months worth of such hours it was pretty difficult to take the entire Waterstones with me. Then I stumbled upon Powells claiming to be the largest bookstore in the world and I dived right in. [view reading gubbins] Five Tapes, A Radio and Gig or Two Without a doubt if I had no music to listen to, I would have never lasted the five months in the US. The USA has a knack of producing some of the best music in the world and at the same time polluting the world with some real tripe. Somehow with only five compilation tapes listened to in rotation or depending on the mood and whatever radio stations I could get, I didn't drive myself crazy and I got by pretty well.
