Full Council Meeting - Wednesday 18th July 2007 at 6pm

At the last Full Council Meeting at the Council Chambers in Derby City centre on Wednesday 18th July 2007 at 6pm, several members of the BCAG asked the council questions about Gayton Pool and their decision to close it. Due to the legal proceedings between Derby City Council and Gayton Community Associations' solicitors, we were informed by the Mayor of Derby that we would not receive any answers to our questions. A week later on Wednesday 25th July 2007, the members who questioned the council were sent a written copy of the response to their questions. This was as follows; 'AS LEGAL PROCEEDINGS AGAINST THE COUNCIL HAD BEEN INSTITUTED, THE MAYOR RULED THAT NO RESPONSES SHOULD BE GIVEN RELATING TO GAYTON SWIMMING POOL'.
