Clots cause 80 of all Heart Attacks and 83 of Strokes. Heart Disease is on the rise in this country as well as in places where the diet has been westernized like Japan and the Mediterranean. More than anything else it is due to lack of proper diet and exercise. Atherosclerosis is the hardening of the arteries and this is how it happens; flowing through your arteries you have plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets needed for clotting as well as some other essential cells for your health. Due to lack of a good diet you also have things like Bad cholesterol LDL , sugars from uncontrolled diabetes, saturated fats as well as other bad things for your health; all these negative ingredients begin to collect, stick together and build up on the interior of the artery walls; this is called plaque. When I was nine years old my father suffered a nervous breakdown , whatever that was. The term is no longer in vogue. He was sick in every part of his body. When one part healed another part hurt. He thought he was dying. We moved from the city to a country farm. We didn t have a telephone because he couldn t stand the ringing of a phone. His doctor finally told him he needed to see a psychiatrist. That shocked him into reading everything he could to heal himself. It took him seven years. During that difficult time my mother suffered chronic back pain. I suffered chronic shoulder pain relieved by daily use of a Chi machine until I had both shoulders replaced. Maybe you have an important meeting coming up, or a crucial test, or just a chess game you don t want to lose. If you want fast results, and not an argument about the definition of intelligence, try some of the following. Breath To Increase Intelligence Quotient Breath deeply through your nose. Since relaxation has been proven to improve brain function, and low oxygen levels in the blood have been shown to decrease it, you benefit doubly from deep breathing. Nose-breathing uses the diaphragm more, drawing air further into the lungs. This is an easy, effective way to improve the functioning of your brain immediately. Meditation also helps, partly because of the deep breathing. A simple breath-watching meditation allows true relaxation, and is conducive to creative problem solving. Close your eyes and...
