FF Guy Palmer has just returned from "Croatia" after an eight day round trip, delivering a truck load of humanitarian aid to the unfortunate victims of the recent civil unrest.
Whilst in location Guy took time out to visit the local fire station and its four wholetime paid staff and the thirty or so volunteer fire fighters.
Guy was shocked by the difficult conditions faced by the civilian population every day but very impressed by the way the fire station and its staff were managing with dilapidated kit and out dated equipment.
He hopes to return again in the near future with some more updated equipment and clothing, (particulary fire boots) a full report of guy's trip and how you can help, will be linked here soon...
