Bongs

Bongs

The "ICEMAIDEN" O.k People you want a cool smooth but incredibly hard hitting smoke? Well look no further the IceMaiden is here! This bong was invented by me so if you see it anywhere else then it has been stolen. I would patent it but somehow feel there might be problems when they ask what it does. So here it is. All you need are the following ingredients:

1 Coffee Jar (Large) or some other large sealable container.

1 metre of plastic syphon tube.

1 10cm copper tube from a fridge.(Need an alternative Copper is supposedly bad for you!)

1 keyboard vacuum cleaner.

1 pipe and some tape (preferably insulating tape) and of course some cold water.

If you make this then please send me a picture and tell me what you think of my design. Also tell me of any ways you have improved on the concept. I have given you a diagram and also the ingredients necessary so the design and building methods are all up to you to figure out.

How-To for Plastic Bongs

by Czechmate PsyBishop@aol.com

I walk around frantically, trying to think of something to plug my new creation's bottom with. I pick through old junk boxes and find nothing. Then I go to relieve my cottonmouth with a bottle of water. "Hey... that tubing can fit over this water bottle cap perfectly..."

There are several main methods of making plastic bongs. They are: tubing (lightbulb covers), bottles (plastic water bottles, wine and coke bottles), stems and bowlpieces, and various others (miscellaneous object ideas).

Bongs made from tubing are my speciality :O) I've found that you can blow plastic similarly to blowing glass. You first need fluorescent light cover tubing as stock material. Secondly, a gas stove, a sink nearby, open windows and an exacto knife. Cut the size of tubing 8 inches larger than your intended finished height. To heat a section, hold it slightly above the flame and constantly turn it. Wait until you see the tubing is starting to sag then remove it and make your design. Remember, you only have to worry about one part at a time.

  • Bubbles: Seal one end with your hands and the other with your mouth and blow. You'll have to keep constant pressure on the inside of the piece until it cools enough to harden, at least part way. Don't overstretch it though. If yo uwant to make a big bubble, do the same thing except in 4 heating/blowing steps, not 2.
  • Twists: Heat up a large section and twist it between your hands, while pulling slightly apart. Align it and let it harden. Heat again slightly and blow into it as if you were making a bubble. Keep the tube twisted as it might droop.
  • Long stems: For a drawn out stem, just heat a large section pretty well then pull the two ends of the tube away from each other.
  • Weird Junctions: Heat a small section up, then do some of the following: Blow into it, twist it a lot, mash it down, flex it to form angles. Balancing With each part, before it fully hardens place it quickly on a countertop and bend the part in the way you need to make it able to stand straight up. Twist about 3" up from the bottom (a LOT) until the twists meet in the centre many times. This forms a kind of champagne glass stem on the bottom. Slowly heat the bottom piece and mash it, still hot, onto a countertop (unless the plastic is liquid, then wait). Keep heating and mashing til you've formed a base. Note: If you water test it and it's leaky, dip the bottom in liquid rubber and let dry _outside_ on a flat, peelable surface. There's an alternative. You can use silicone sealant or liquid rubber to seal a water bottle cap into the end of the tube.

BOTTLES Plastic water bottles A nifty bong can be made easily out of one of these bottles. Get the one of your choice size, and melt or cut a hole in the side for the stem (see stems and bowlpieces section below). You can also make a several-chamber bong this way. Tape for example two bottles together. Install your stem on the outermost side of one bottle. Then, put a cap on it and cut two holes, one for a carb and one for a tube. Make a hole in the side of the second bottle and run the tube from the top of the first into the bottom of the second. Seal the bottle and tube joint. There you have it, a two chamber! Try slush in one and hot water in the other. (((Intense))) Coke/wine bottles Some bubbler pipes you can buy in stores can be adapted for use with glass bottles with narrow necks. The pieces are basically a stopper with one tube coming out the top, and the bowl holder which is attached to a metal tube going through the other hole in the stopper. On the other side, you can put tubing of that size or larger. Get several tubes, all of which can fit inside each other until you can fit on the downtube you want. Cut the downtube to just before the bottom of the container you're using. Pack it, water it, and take some hits off a bottle hooka!

STEMS AND BOWLPIECES By far the best stems you can get are premade ones, which you should be able to find in a good head shop. Some online headshops might have them. All it is basically is aluminium tube going to a universal bowl thread and a small plastic decorative ring on the outside. You can make your own bowlholders and downtubes. Go to home depot, the tubing section(I like to stand by the PVC drain pipes and dream)... Find a piece with inside thread that will fit your bowl. Test pieces threads on a bowlpiece that you brought. DO NOT just use copper tube! Smoking through copper is horrible for ya. You can use all kinds of junctions to make the downtube however you want. If you really want to get elaborate, get a tubing bender and make a coil out of the downtube.

MISCELLANEOUS OTHER This will be especially good for ice bongs or (drool) dry ice bongs??? (side note: If you do it, make it a separate chamber where the tube goes in and comes out on top Open air ventholes need to be put in the bottom of the dry ice container. Put the dry ice in there. Make sure you have a water chamber after that, and put warm water in it!!!! Some other interesting ideas I've had or heard of for bongs: coconut watermelon (tastes GREAT) apple (pipe) Lamp bases (which could be really good for a hookah) Logs (yes, a hollowed out log.... (Light herbs not trees hehe :O) PVC pipe Plastic high-power rocket nosecone Flexi-tubing (like used in pools) for inhale hose (ex: hookahs) .

That's all for now. Please send ideas, criticism, etc to the author, PsyBishop@aol.com. Thanx and peas, Czechmate.

Thanks for the contribution PsyBishop!
