Advanced Rider Wales
The centre is based in Port Talbot, South Wales and is a division of Start Right Motorcycle Training.
All advanced courses are carried out by instructor Chris North.
Chris is a serving Class 1 Emergency Services Rider. He has many, many thousands of motorcycle miles under his belt mostly at the higher speed ranges (strictly for work purposes of course!).
Off duty Chris swaps his works ST1100 Honda for a Suzuki 1200 Bandit.
Being an emrgency services rider Chris is trained in and rides to the police system of motorcycle control, as contained in the publication `Motorcycle Roadcraft`, widely regarded as the authority in advanced riding techniques.
All courses with us are carried out on the roads of South and West Wales, some of the best biking roads in the U.K.
Courses are normally of 1 days duration, but if there is sufficent demand then half day courses can be arranged.
The centre is extremely flexible and courses can be tailored to the needs of the individual.
Riders own machines to be used on the courses at this time.
Courses:
One day course Suitable for the experienced rider wishing to improve their skills (full licence).
Incorporates the System of Motorcycle Control, Limit point Analysis, Cornering techniques, Overtaking techniques and Hazard awareness / Defensive riding.
Price includes coffee stops, lunch and certificate on completion.
Half day course Suitable for the new full licence holder with limited experience or persons with limited time available who wishes to split the course into two sessions.
Includes: Introduction to the System of Motorcycle Control, Cornering basics, Hazard awareness. Price includes coffee stop and certificate on completion.
One to One For riders wanting the extra benefit of one to one tuition.
Incorporates all the elements of the one day course.
Price includes coffee stops, lunch, certificate on completion and in addition, a copy of Motorcycle Roadcraft.
All courses have the benefit of Instructor to Rider radio.
