Atari to SCART wire

How to connect a SCART TV to your Atari ST?

Atari to SCART cable

(To the Atari)

(To the TV)

(Pictures seen from the front - NOT the solderside!)

13 PIN monitor contact MALE to the Atari
21 PIN SCART MALE to the TV

Atari TV
Sound out 1 - 2 Sound in right
Sound out 1 - 6 Sound in left + mono
Composite sync 2 - 20 Video in
RGB Green out 6 - 11 RGB Green in (connect via a 150 Ohm resistor)
RGB Red out 7 - 15 RGB Red in (connect via a 150 Ohm resistor)
+12 V 8 - 8 Audio/RGB switch
RGB Blue out 10 - 7 RGB Blue in (connect via a 150 Ohm resistor)
Vertical Sync 12 - 16 Blanking
Ground 13 - 17 Video ground

If you don't use the resistors the screen will "burn" becouse the Atari signal seems to be a bit to strong for a normal TV. If your SCART TV doesn't follow the CENELEC standard you could try to connect a small wire between pin 16 and pin 20.
