Controversy surrounds the identity of Charles J. Brocklehurst, mostly arising from my inability to find a birth record of a Charles J. that corresponded with the birth date estimated from Patrick Brocklehurst's account, that "my grandfather died at age 90, in 1936". However, Charles J. Beswick Brocklehurst seems to have had only one son Charles, and although his middle name at baptism was Frederick, the date of birth from the church record seems right seems right, so I assume they are the same person.
