Last season's song

it's the way i never walk down that alley

it's the way i never see your friends

i been meaning to cross you out fully

i been meaning to, when this year ends.

i been maybe, maybe feeling the same

i been maybe forgetting last season's song

i been thinking of maybe asking his name

but i been in love with you, too long.

In my head

just as i think to leave

it starts to rain in degrees

a quiet park of maple trees

a wet skirt that rains weave.

squirrels huddled in the park

a warm breath, a quiet sea

fetch my coat and find my key

from memories of lips, in the dark.
