2007 / 2008 Bus Charter

Sedgefield Mags have introduced a bus charter which hopefully covers most major points of concern for people using the bus. Should a problem arise on the bus that is not on the written charter, then the members of the committee which are currently travelling that day will meet and decide what course of action to take. The committee's decision will be final.

Roll Over Rules – Everybody is entitled to have a go on the Roll Over for the price of £1. You must nominate the scorer of the 1st goal of the day and a score prediction. It must be made clear which scorer you have chosen i.e. If there are 2 players with the same name (cole) then you must indicate which player you want. All score predictions must be made by writing the word not the figure in the box i.e. THREE not 3. A score of 0-0 is not allowed, as you are not nominating a goal scorer. To determine the 1st goal scorer the club will use the official announcement from the tannoy at the match unless there is an obvious mistake. All payouts take place on the bus returning from Newcastle, unless there is a discrepancy with the prediction – in this instance the decision on payout will be made at the next monthly meeting. The prize pot can reach a maximum of £150, once this is reached all moneys are then used to start subsequent pots. The roll over can only be won on 1st goal and correct score, with the exception of last bus of the season when all pot money will be paid out 1st on scorer and prediction if not won, then paid out on score if still not won a draw will be made of everybody on the bus.

Passed at the meeting held 26/7/2006

Travel Reimbursements – Due to the Charlton Athletic game being called off at such short notice, with the bus actually in Newcastle a full refund was given to all paying fares on the night, as there is nothing in the club charter for such eventualities, after lengthy discussions the following will be applicable to all future buses run by Sedgefield Mags:

Should for any reason a Newcastle game be called off after the bus has left Sedgefield, a part payment will be taken from all people travelling on the bus (with the exception of those working on the bus). The bus will be turned around at the earliest opportunity, and it will be at this point that the payment scale comes into force (not at the point in which we heard that the game was called off). The bus will not stop on route to the match awaiting any inspection decisions.

The following scale will apply in future:

Point at which bus is turned around

Amount to be paid to club

Prior to joining motorway at Bowburn

£1

Between Junctions 61 & 63 A1(M)

£2

Washington Turn off or after

Full fare to be charge

Passed at the meeting held 9/1/2006

Age of Senior Citizen - Michael brought up a point of order of the current setting for a senior citizen, the current infrastructure looks at if a person is employed or not and what age they are, therefore Michael proposed that a more streamlined approach is taken for this. John proposed that upon reaching the age of 60, for the purposes of Sedgefield Mags that person will be classed as a senior citizen and be entitled to the benefits of a senior citizen. Vote 8/0 in favour of this.

Passed at AGM held 21/5/2007

Subscriptions – Currently stand at £5 new member (£2 child) and £2 for a renewal. At the emergency meeting held last July it was talked that an increase in subscriptions would be a realistic possibility for next season, but after a lengthy discussion it was felt that all subscriptions should remain the same for the forthcoming season. Vote of 8/0 in favour of this

Should any problem occur that is not on this charter then those committee members on the bus will meet and decide what course of action is required. There decision will be final, and the matter will be taken up at the next monthly meeting for absolute clarity.
