Q1 Do I need experience?
A No, The Scouts Association provides all the necessary training.
Q2 Will I have to pay for my training course?
A No. All training is paid for by the Association group
Q3 Is Scouting assistance only open to men?
A No volunteers of either sex are always welcome
Q4 Do I have to wear uniform?
A Only if you wish to be a warranted leader and then the group will pay for it
Q5 How much time will it take?
A The time you give will depend upon your chosen role within the section - it could mean anything from a one-off few hours for a helper to a more rqular commitments for a warranted leader
Q6 What is it for me?
A Leaders get their rewards from seeing that first knot, the completion of another successful camp or even a promotion at work due to honed initialise. In scouting you will make lasting friendships with people of all ages and backgrounds. friendships that move out of Scouting to the community at large.
