Webley MK1 .177 Pistol
Here is a little Webley & Scott MK1 pistol that I bought from a junk shop while on holiday a few years ago. It's in pretty poor nick really, but is worth a lot more than the ten quid I paid for it. I stripped it down completely on the dining table of the caravan we were renting with just a SOG tool (that's a bit like a Leatherman, but... better). I had my BSA Super 10 on holiday with me that year (I wish I could do that every year!), but bought the little Webley because the weather was pretty poor, with a target holder I could shoot it inside the caravan, and I thought it was well worth a tenner. Maybe I thought it looked forlorn and neglected in the shop, and felt sorry for it. It's not very accurate, the breech where the barrel locates is very worn, as is the catch which holds the barrel in place. It has certainly had a lifetime of hard use. I hope to restore it one day. I still take it out for a bit of plinking occasionally.
