Las Vegas--the playground for adults. You either love it or hate it.  Personally I love it!

The main road through  Las Vegas is the Strip with casinos such as New York New York (where we stayed), Bellagio, Paris, Luxor, Caesars Palace, MGM Grand (the largest hotel in the World) to name but a few, lining its route. It's at night that Vegas really comes alive with shows in nearly every casino along the entire Strip many of which are free to enter. There is the Volcano at The Mirage that erupts every 15 minutes, the Pirates at Treasure Island and the fountains at Bellagio.

But it's the gambling that people really come for, the stakes start on the tables at $1 and escalate upwards from there to mega bucks (stayed on the low stake tables)  When we were there a women won $20,000 on a fruit machine just by putting her last 25c into the machine!

From Vegas you can explore the surrounding desert area and visit  places like the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead and of course you can go shopping at the Belz Factory Outlet Centre.
