28/6/2002 - ro shows!

Just tonight and tomorrow now as Ronan comes to the end of his Destination '02 Tour in UK & Ireland before moving on to the other parts of the world.  He'll be at Nottingham tonight before ending in Manchester tomorrow.  The final two dates are shown below.  You can check out the Tour & Appearances page for these shows and previous ones.

And come to thinking about tomorrow, Ronan will be at Hyde Park, London, UK for a special charity event.  Yes, that's right!  It's Safeway Picnic 2002 in association with The Prince's Trust!  Ronan will kick off the show at 3.00pm then will go to Manchester for the final showdown.  This will follow on with appearances from Gabrielle, Shirley Bassey, Diana Ross and Rod Stewart!  Earlier in the week, each star was to adopt a tree of their own in Hyde Park as a thanks for being at the event.  The programme is scheduled as follows (may be subject to change on the day):

26/6/2002 - ro's out of the competition!

Ronan's out of the Popworld Cup after losing against A1 in what was a tough match indeed!  He unfortunately lost 1-3 to A1 who now go through to the semi-finals.  We would like to say that we are disappointed indeed.  You can check the rest of the information at www.popworldcup.com.  However, we would like to thank all the fans who gave your support in getting Ronan this far in the contest!  Who knows, maybe next time, Ronan will get further!

24/6/2002 - britney's out!

Britney is out!  And Ronan's through to the quarter finals of the Popworld Cup!  He won by 3 goals to 2 in what is becoming more exciting as the days go by!  The results of all the matches so far are shown below and what a great contest it has been so far!!!

24/6/2002 - webchat with ronan

23/6/2002 - near the end of first part of tour

Many of you will have seen Ronan in his brilliant Destination '02 Tour in the UK and Ireland and now comes his final part of the tour in these countries!  Tonight, he'll be at the Point Depot, Dublin, Ireland and then will move on to Belfast before returning to the UK to finish off shows in Nottingham and Manchester.  The remaining tour dates are shown below.

21/6/2002 - tree cheers to ronan!

Ronan has got a gift!  He's received his very own tree to adopt in Hyde Park, London, UK!  The reason - as a thank you for participating in Safeway Picnic 2002 this coming 29th June (next Saturday)!  He along with stars, Shirley Bassey, Gabrielle, Rod Stewart and Diana Ross will all receive a tree to adopt in Hyde Park.  Ronan laughed when he heard of the greatest honour: "Thanks very much for my tree. I hope that over the years people will enjoy its shade, birds its shelter, and dogs its convenience!"

Safeway Picnic 2002 is organised to raise money for The Prince's Trust.  The organisers hope to raise £750,000.  The event is set to start at 3.00pm with Ronan starting the show off before leaving for his last UK tour in Manchester.

21/6/2002 - a scoring reminder

A final reminder that Ronan is in the Popworld Cup!  He is playing against Britney Spears to get through to the quarter finals of the contest!  So come on, vote Ronan and not Britney!  Simply visit www.popworldcup.com and make sure you vote as many times as you can against Ronan's vote box and NOT Britney's - simple!  You've got 'til 22nd June to vote (yes - you've only got today and tomorrow!) - so keep voting for Ronan!  At the end of the day, we want a result and that's Ronan for the quarters!

19/6/2002 - get ro to the quarter!

Just another reminder that Ronan is in the second round of the Popworld Cup!  He's playing against Britney Spears and it is essential that you get Ro through to the quarter finals.  The game is simple and not a hint of football knowledge is required whatsoever!  Simply visit www.popworldcup.com and vote for Ronan by simply ticking his box.  Deny Britney any chance of getting to the quarter finals - just don't tick her box!!!  And do this as many times as you possibly can because the more votes you give, the better the chance Ronan has to move to the next round.  So go and and vote today!

17/6/2002 - on to round two!

Ronan's done it!  He's qualified for the second round of the Popworld Cup!  Thanks to you, he finished the match against Shaggy winning 4-3.  That means Ronan has scored 7 points which is more than enough to take him swiftly onto the next round.  But being in the second round will make things trickier 'cause there are no more draws - just win or lose!  A great result indeed and here's the scores of the first round matches:

10/6/2002 - popworld cup - it's not all over!

After a week of play at the Popworld Cup, Ronan is on the balance.  The scores well, what can we say?  It was 3-2 to Westlife but 4-3 to Ronan against the Sugababes!  Wahey!  At least one game won but unfortunately, one game lost!  That's not good enough!  Listen, there's one more match to play this week, and it is against Shaggy.  In order to get Ronan to the next round, you must do everything in your powers to make sure Ronan wins this match!  Forget football for one moment, because this game doesn't require such knowledge!  And to make him win means to vote for him!  The game is simple, visit www.popworldcup.com and simply tick the box beside Ronan NOT against Shaggy's - and then keep voting for that result 'til Ronan wins!  You've got 'til 15th June to get your votes in.  There's not much time and remember, every vote counts!  Here's the summary of the scores:

9/6/2002 - destination '02 - here we come!

Tonight is the start of Ronan's exciting Destination '02 Tour which begins in the UK!  He'll be performing at Cardiff Arena tonight and visit the UK cities of Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham and Manchester.  He'll also take a hop to Ireland to perform in Belfast and Dublin.  The tour will feature the material from his new album, 'Destination' as well as favourite tunes that's bound to include 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' and 'Lovin' Each Day'.  You can check the Tour & Appearances page for all the tour dates of his shows!  So what ever you do, enjoy the night!

9/6/2002 - a brief review on the showcase

As some of you may have already known, BBC Radio 2 (UK) broadcasted Ronan's exclusive showcase on Saturday at 8pm and what a show it was!  The audience loved it and it included some wonderful tracks from his current album, 'Destination' as well some of his hits.  Some interesting tracks included a nice version of 'Joy And Pain' which sounded really fantastic, 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' which was sung beautifully, a wonderful upbeat summer tune, 'I Love It When We Do' and his number 1 single which everyone knew well, 'Life Is A Rollercoaster'.  Ronan even did an exclusive cover of a song in the showcase.  He performed a cover of Van Morrison's tune, 'Brown Eyed Girl' which Ronan done so enthusiastically.  Indeed the audience loved it.  The last and most appropriate tune to end of the show was 'The Long Goodbye'.  The show was presented by Simon Mayo (pictured) who credited Ronan for giving a brilliant show.  We've very sure there will be more to come when Ronan does his Destination '02 Tour, we guarantee it!

7/6/2002 - make it all for one!

This is your last chance!  Ronan's in the Popworld Cup and you need to ensure he's scored enough points to go through to the next round!  He's playing against Westlife and the Sugababes this week and you'll need to make sure you keep at it and vote for him!  Visit Popworld Cup's website at www.popworldcup.com.  Remember, you don't even need to know football to play the game!!  The game is simple, tick Ronan's box and NOT against Westlife's or Sugababes' - it's as simple as that.  And don't stop there, keep at it 'til the end of the day!  Next week, Ronan will be playing Shaggy - so watch out and score those votes!

7/6/2002 - exclusive showcase this weekend

Ronan performed an exclusive showcase of his tunes earlier in May.  The showcase is to be broadcasted tomorrow (Saturday 8th June) on BBC Radio 2, 88-90.2FM (UK).  The show will begin at 8.00pm.  Ronan is performing all his hits plus new material from his 'Destination' album.  Check out the Tour & Appearances page for details of appearances plus the tour dates for his Destination '02 Tour which begins in the UK this Sunday (9th June).  On the subject of the exclusive showcase, tune in and enjoy what is on offer!

5/6/2002 - score for ronan!

2/6/2002 - lots of toppings

Ronan is still doing well in the UK charts!  In fact, the single, 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' is still doing well in the UK singles chart and is currently still in the top 5 at number 5!  And as for the albums chart, Ronan is still doing well with his new album, 'Destination' which is at number 2 this week!  So overall it's looking good.  If you haven't heard Ronan's new album yet, buy the album and please do - it has 14 brilliant tracks with some of the finest uplifting tunes and includes the recent number 1 single, 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' plus the hit single, 'Lovin' Each Day'.  Plus getting the CD entitles you to access the secret area of the Official Ronan Keating Website!  So come on, a number 1 single and album?  It must be really good right?  So go on, listen out and enjoy!

1/6/2002 - the big month!
