Although his body was burned by holy fire, the skull was stolen by the Seidh and placed into a box with ward charms. The skull then disappeared for a number of years..

The First Civil War of Stone. Jassary (who was at this point a mathematician and lecturer) was commissioned into the army as quartermaster. Given the rank of Second General so that the other officers couldn’t make demands and would have to respect him. The third army was the best supplied, and armed in the republic, however they weren’t the best led as the general was out thought and out flanked and finally out maneuvered. With most of the army crushed with the death of 14,000 Jasarry was the most senior surviving officer and took command of the surviving four thousand troops fought a valiant rearguard holding against the rebels for 17 days until reinforcements arrived. With the republic in turmoil Jassary led a counterattack on the Rebel army and routed it capturing two of the leaders. 3000 rebel soliders were crucified

Battle of the Sea Raiders, when 12,000 Fierce Eyed Reivers, fought against a united tribes force of 8,000 men. At the height of the battle a storm raged above with lightning lancing down hurling men into the air. Death of Varaconn during the final charge of the day at dusk by the beaten Vars when 5 of them charged him and Ruathain. Surviving sea raiders burned 27 ships before departing to stop any pursuit by the united tribes.
In an earlier skirmish before the battle, Arna and Maccus face the Vars, Arna loses and eye and Maccus slays the leader of the Vard, a giant of a man with a double headed axe.

The Army of Stone continues to march West.
Conn when asked by the Seidh known as the Morrigu, What he most desires, he answered fame and she grants his wish. Her gifts are double edged however which Conn learns when he is forced to face a rogue bear with just a knife. Laying Riamfada to one side he steps in front of the bear and attacks and is joined by Govannan, his brother, Braefar, does nothing and so the seed of hatred is sown between the two.
Conns wounds should have seen him dead, he had a long jagged cut from scalp to chin, his back was a blood covered mass of stitches and his left arm was in splints. Looked after by Vorna, the Rigante witch, he slowly heals but she sacrifices her gift that would have given her 200 years of life in order to save him.
Arian whom Conn thought he was going to marry in fear of being alone and that Conn would die marries another.
After an attack on an old man and his daughter that leaves the two of them dead, Conn and other members of the Rigante hunt down the attackers. Finding them Conn kills the first with a throat slash and rams a short sword through the 2nd’s belly. As the 3rd runs Conn leapts onto his back and bears him to the ground where he slits the outlaws throat.
The 4th man is captured and taken to the Long Laird to be put on trial for the deaths, where under questioning he admits his guilt.
As a reward for his service Conn is told that he could ask any favour of the Long Laird, he requests permission to be allowed to travel with Banouin. This request is granted and he is given a sword and a pony by the Long Laird in addition.

Stone defeats the Aiddui with the Perdii to face the next assault by the Armies of Stone, each unit is known as Stone Panther.
Death of King Alea and his son, slain by his treacherous brother, Carac Alea was slain by drowning whilst hunting in his lands, his son was poisoned and the wife strangled as Carac was told that he would die if any of his actions spilt royal blood.
Banouin on his journey with Connovar is betrayed when he travels into the Perdii lands to claim some monies owed by a merchant. Connovar having heard Banouin’s Geasa is prepared and manages to avoid being caught in the same trap, kills the merchant.
Plague in Alin
Having escaped the city, Carac sends hunters after him. Capturing Conn’s ponies he kills two of the warriors and esapes on foot. At this point Connovar has killed 7 Perdii including the merchant that he tortured who betrayed Banouin. Capturing a scout, Conn sends a message to Carac that worms into his heart and he fears the Rigante Warrior. Finally sending his best men along with Parax the hunter of the Rodessi tribe to track and kill him. Tracking him to the Talis Woods Conn enters and is gifted with the Sword in the Storm a blade created amongst the Seidh by his friend Riamfada. The hunters who persue him are slain by the Seidh.
Parax watched the scene playout from the hills and when Conn rides out he greets him and gives him some pie, he also advises Conn to ride east to the army of Stone. Advice that Conn takes.
Carac and his son are slain the day before his 40th Birthday in pitched battle as he broke his geassa when Alea’s wife cut him with a pair of scissors. With a chest of gold and some stallions Conn returns home.
Conn meets Tae for the first time at the Beltine Dance and dances with her after Fiallach assaults his brother and he jumps to Braefars defence.
Fiallach tracks and kills Phaeton for his treachery 31 people are slain at during the attack, 22 men, 5 women and four children.

With the death of his father, Shard becomes King of the Vars.
Conquest of Stone sees much of Gorissa burned and rebuilt over consequential years.
The Highland Laird of the Pannones joins with the Vars to fight Connovar and the Rigante, 8,000 Pannones and 10,000 Vars unite and march upon the Rigante Lands to face 10,000 Rigante. Death toll at the end of the day is 3,000 Rigante including 220 of Conn’s Iron Wolves with 2,000 more wounded. The Highland Laird is forced to takes a blood oath for peace which is witnessed by Brother Solstice as well as blood price for the death of the Fisher Laird.

Finally surrounding the General Valanus at Cogden Field and fighting them after the Army of Stone had not eaten for five days. The survivors had been led by Appius in a defensive withdrawl into the previous nights encampment where the following morning negotiations taking place to allow their withdrawl.

After killing two men who insulted his dead mother, Bane is forced to flee the lands of the Rigante. The men were Kin to Fiallach the Iron Wolves General who has sworn to kill Bane. Not wanting his son to face his friend, Connovar sends Parax with some gold to aid Bane in his escape.
Asked to take Banouin to Stone by Vorna, Bane agrees. Rescuing Appius and Lia from a river along the way as they fled Stone due to the faith in the source of the daughter.
Whilst staying with Appius and Lia, Banouin suffers a vision of the future and flees, as he sees the knights of the Crimson Priests traveling to carry out the sentence of death upon Appius. Telling Bane he is called craven and carries on to Stone whilst Bane returns to the house, slaying two of the Crimson Knights and sees the death of Lia as Voltan plunges his blade into her. Bane and he then fight and Bane is severely wounded.
Recovering due to the wish of a former stone officer made to the Morrigu who was then the captain of the town watch, Bane sets off and joins Persis Albertain’s Circus Orises as a gladiator to be taught by Rage in Gorissa where 3000 stone Citizens live amongst 25,000 Gath.
After winning his first bout he joins Circus Occian when they agree to take Rage and Telos on as his trainers.
Connovar has fought three major campaigns in the last two years against rebel Norvii and Pannones. Jassary has offered a treaty with the Rigante to downsize the armies.
Persis Albertain stands with the cultists on trial and when condemned spends time in the dungeons, given the gift of healing by the veiled lady.
When his tutor is taken and arrested as a cultist Banouin goes to protest his innocence and offers to heal Nalademus the Stone Elder of the Crimson Priests. The condition is Anasarca.
Failed Coop attempt by Naldemus who covered Jassary in blood and unleashed a tiger to hunt him. Jassary is saved by Bane and Rage and grants them a boon each.
Rage fights the captured Voltan on behalf of Bane hoping to slow him down enough for Bane to kill as he has come to see Bane as a son. Rage wins, Bane is allowed anther boon and selects to free the Veiled lady who is later revealed to be Lia whom he thought dead but had been saved by the surgeon who owed Appius a debt. Lia leaves to take the word of the Veiled lady to the savages of the north and Bane returns to live amongst the Rigante.
Bane helps Banouin release the dead who continue to fight the battle of Cogden Field.
300 Longships beach at 7 willows and 15,000 vars led by Shard invade the lands of the Rigante at the same time Jassary leads 12 Panthers (36,000 men) from the south against the Rigante.
During the battle against the sea wolves (Vars) Connovar face them with a united force of Rigante, Pannone and Novii numbering 12,000. The Vars force is destroyed and Shard is slain the cost for victory was high with 2000 of the united tribal force slain and another 5000 wounded.
Marching to face the army of Stone the Rigante are forced to fight with 10,000 Iron Wolves, 3000 Horse Archers and 25,000 warriors.
After a message from Vorna, Bane aids Finnegal to save Meria from a Vars raiding force.
The Morrigu is the last of the Seidh to leave the world of the Rigante, aided by Bane and Connovar.
Connovar killed after breaking his geasa in regard to slaying the hound that bit him, killed when he went to meet Braefar who had turned traitor and forgotten about the knife in his hand he slips it between Connovars ribs. Braefar in despair also takes his own life slitting his throat.
Bane takes Connovars place during the battle and with the spirit of Conn with him leads the Rigante to victory.
Bane then travels to the White Mountains of Varshalla to be reunited with Lia.
Betrayed by Allies and forced to fight the Army of Stone at Vorn Field, Bane and his forces were led into a trap. The battle only came out in favour of the Rigante when a cavalry officer of Banes along with 600 men got lost whilst seeking the supply caravan and came out behind the Stone Army.
Taking the war to their city. After defeating them Bane marches the Rigante back to the mountains refusing to act as a conquerer.
Building of the home that is to come be be the home of Black Rigante Clan leader, Call Jace.
In addition to this romances start to appear to stamp out all clan pride claiming that Connovar was a Varlish Prince who came to the north to rule the barbarians. Claiming that Connovar meant Conn of the Vars.
Law passed that states that no Clansman is allowed to possess a sword.
Call Jace accedes to leadership of the Black Rigante.
Marriage of Maev Ring and Calofair
Birth of Gaise Macon to the Moidart with his wife Rayena Tremain. Unsure of the paternity of Gaise as he has the eyes of Lanovar yet also the eye colour of the Moidarts own Grandmother.
Moidarts home burned to the ground, seeing that Gaise was left in the building the Moidart reenters the building and saves his son whilst taking some horrific burns.
The burning of the town of Shelsans by the Knights of the Sarifice. A young Winter Kay (second in command) obtains the Orb of Kranos and begins to build his network of powerful agents and spies. 2000 Tree Cultists are put to the sword.
Death of Kaleins father Lanovar who had agreed to meet the Moidart to talk about him approaching the king to have Clan Rigante reinstated upon the roll of honour after the turbulent years. Betrayed by the Moidart for having had an affair with his wife, Lanovar is rescued by Jaim Grymauch and whilst severly wounded dies free, although not before telling Jaim his sons soul name.
As part of trying to get revenge for the escape of Lanovar, the Moidart orders the attack upon the rigante that sees Kaelins mother die and Kaelin saved by his Aunt Maev. Jaims wife and 2 sons are killed. Becomes known as the night of sickening slaughter.
Raids begin by the Black Rigante which allows Cal Jace to begin to build defences on the Rigante mountain passes when the Beetlebacks stop riding the mountains as they seek the raiders. With monies raised by the raiding Cal uses the finances to buy muskets and pistols which he then trains all men to use.
Death of the Moidarts wife and the Moidart is severely wounded saved by Rasmus’ skills.
Chain Shada fights a man who’s toughness forces him to ask himself questions about how good he really is. The fight lasts for 44 periods before he won.
Colonel Blaydock was sent to continue the hounding of the raiders. He too is killed.
New King comes to Power and the Church begins its crusade against magickers and witches.
Death of Calofair who died of a fever from a chest wound inflicted whilst cattle rustling.
Death of the Moidarts Grandmother who had the unusual eyes of one green and one golden, a trait of the line of Connovar.
Gillen Pearce is bankrupt and about to face jail time when Maev Ring comes to him and buys a 40 % share in his business, settles the debts and requests that he makes some boots for the Moidart as a gift. With the Moidart pleased with the gift orders come in and huge profits are made by the two business partners.
Maev also purchases a 40% stake in the forge of Parsis Feld and hires a former apprentice of the famed Emburley to work at the forge in addition. Profits yet again come rolling in.
Death of Colonel Lockley. Replacement arrives in the north and agreement made by predecessor not changed.
With a Varlish child lost, Kaelin and Jaim set off into the hills and find that he had fallen, Jaim encouraged him to climb the rope that he had brought and saved him.

Another replacement Colonel arrives in the lands of the North Rigante, yet again agreement not changed.
Arrival of Colonel Linux.
During the fist fighting tournament two fighters are imported from the south, one is Gorain the other his mentor Chain Shada. They have a falling out and Gorain fights his way to the final, killing Badraig on the way.
Facing Jaim he is defeated and later found hung. Due to losing he is murdered by Huntsekker, the Moidarts personal assassin with a suicide note left claiming that he lost the fight to win a huge amount of money on side bets. Chain Shada escapes and is hunted by the Moidarts Soldiers.
Aided by Jaim he escapes to the south. Although not until after Jaim crosses the river boycotting the bridge where Huntsekker lies in wait. Ambushing him and his men, along with Kaelin they illicit a promise not to tell the Moidart of the escape. One of Huntsekkers men, says that his word wasn’t worth anything after they have left and so is killed by Huntsekker because his word is.
Gaise Macon departs for military academy along with Mulgrave who is now signed on as a tutor after being dismissed by the Moidart.
Kaelin Ring moves north to his Aunt Maev’s farm in Black Rigante territory. After an argument with Cal Jace he leaves to visit Cal’s house and ends up fighting a sword duel with Bael Jace, Cal’s son. Fight ends when the sword that Kaelin has breaks. Bael agrees that its over and the two become friends. Kaelin also becomes besotted with Cal’s daughter Chara Jace.
Lunden Macks arrested for treachery and tried by peoples court and aquitted. Rearrested and retried by a Privy Council, this time sentenced to hang within a month.
King signs the Covanent document allowing others to obtain power.
Law in regard to the wearing of clan colours is enforced for the first time in over 4 decades after the death of Colonel Linux by his treacherous captain.
Chara Jace led into a trap by the Rigante Traitor Wallis Swainham. After been used and abused and left in the dungeon as bait for Cal, she is rescued by Kaelin and Rayster.
With the death of Parsis Feld, it becomes known of Maevs partnership with the forge owner. After being taken to the Moidart under charges of gun ownership she is released only to be arrested again after a donation to the church of £500 by one of his sons, Jorain.
After rescuing Chara, Kaelin and she climb the mountains to get back to rigante territory, killing the traitor Wallis, Kaelin then also leads a daring Rigante force behind the marching army and attacks from behind whilst Cal leads his men from the front, caught between the hammer and the anvil the Varlish army is defeated. Kaelin is wounded in the hip and in the back.
During her trial for witchcraft Maev is defended by Alterith Shaddler who defends her even though the outcome has already been bought. Knights of the Sacrifice kill or intimidate those who would stand up for her, including Gillam Pearce.
Taken out to burn at the stake Jaim appears and fights his way to her, killing the Knight of the Sacrifice, Gayan Kay by throwing him into the pyre meant for Maev. After getting to Maev the musketeers arrive take aim. Pulled into Jaims embrace he takes the impact of the bullets and is slain. Huntsekker aids her to escape from the cathedral forecourt and slays the Bishop who presided over the trial.
Jaim was buried with his Glave behind Maevs house and she moves north to Ironlatch farm with Kaelin. The businesses of those who stood against Maev are burned to the ground during the night.
The king flees the capital to raise an army after Luden Mack escapes.
During a hunt for a Rapist and murderer Huntsekker comes across Aran Powdermill who helps him, taking as payment the bounty to the penny.

Birth of Jaim, the son of Kaelin and Chara named after Kaelins Uncle who sacrificed himself to save Maev.
Escaping into the hills, Hanglip is eventually killed by a shot from Feargol.
Kaelin travels south with his aunt to meet with the Moidart, during this time because Feargol is with Kaelins family the Dezhem Bek hire Tostig an unprincipled killer to murder his family, however they originally approached the Cochland brothers who set out to warn Kaelin. Upon arrival they aid the family to survive taking them into the wilds. Death of Selenic, a retainer on the farm, killed by Tostig after he had had a vision.
Death of Eain Cochland during the fight to save Chara, Jaim and Feargol. Draig is then hired on as staff on the farm.
Fighting in the Civil war is ferocious with battles such as the one fought Nollenby leaving many dead with no clear idea of who the victor was.
Trying to kill Gaise Macon due to a prophecy years before Winter Kay makes the mistake of attempting to kill the Moidart who then becomes his enemy. Sending the Pinace into the Moidarts territory along with 12,000 men and 5,000 cavalry they are employed by the Moidart after he kills the Pinace and his top men.
Gaise is betrayed by Winter Kay and fights alongside his men to return to the north.
Ending the civil war by breaking the truce with Luden Macks, Winter Kay sacrifices the King to the Orb of Kranos, however due to the king have blood from the Rigante in his veins it is the blood of the line of Cernunnos himself who becomes sentient and seeks a way to return to the north.
Winter Kay is tricked by the Wyrd and the Skull of Cernunnos to hand it over in order to fall into the hands of Gaise Macon.
End of the war and Gaise Macon sacrifices himself to the Spirit of Cernunnos using the god powers he was granted to heal and end the war. Just prior to Cernunnos taking over his body, Gaises final plan comes into action with Mulgrave shooting him with a gold bullet. The body then disintergrates and the magic of the land is renewed.

The battle sees 28,000 slain. 12,000 Stone Soldiers of the original compliment of 15,000 with 16,000 of the original 30,000 Rigante, Norvii and Pannone army slain. A detachment had cut behind the Stone army and savagely cut the supply colomn killing the drivers and burning the wagons.

Kaelin travels with some supplies for Finbarr Ustal and his family who live high in the mountains as this is the harshest winter known for 30 years. Upon arrival he see’s the devastation caused by the rampaging bear known locally as Hang Lip. Finbarr, his wife and oldest son are all dead. Finbarr and his wife torn apart by the bear, Basson died of hypothermia whilst hiding in a tree and Feargol, the only survivor hid in an old ward trunk. The bear had been sent by the Dezhem Bek (known as the Ravenous Ravens) to kill Feargol.
