Thanks to:   Tony Messenger (the previous owner) who modified this car to such a high standard, saving me alot of the bother! He carried out alot of the modifications himself. The supercharger conversion, nitrous system, exhaust, engine mods and maintenance were carried out by Power and Performance of Honingham near Norwich (tel. 01603 880060). Unichip and Rolling road setup was done at Engine Advantages at Witham in Essex (tel. 01376 502522).

The car was also involved a Fast Ford Magazine feature (Oct 04 issue) of a Mondeo Shootout at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, where both my mondeos took part along with several others (click on pic below for details):

The car was also pictured in the Ford mag feature on Trax 2003 (centre left on pic below)

Radio Controlled Replica:

This is a based on a scale 1:10 Tamiya TB-01 chassis (oil dampers, 4x4, ballraces etc) with a Tamiya Mondeo body which I painted in Alberto green, tinted the windows, and got some replica cossy bonnet vents and Bk299 alloys to make a model of the original. Click on pic to enlarge:

Trophies:

The car won a show and shine trophy at Mean Street Cruise in 2003, and 2 trophies at a car club rolling road day (at P.T.S. Luton) for highest BHP in class and highest overall BHP.

Overall:

This was taken at Interford Show 2003.  This picture shows the 18" BK Racing 299 wheels, the tinted windows etc

The Exhaust:

This picture shows the custom PowerFlow exhaust system.  The bumper has been cut either side to allow for the twin 4" pipes.

The Engine Bay:

This shows the engine, and the modifications that have been made.  Old pic needs updating

The Side:

This was taken at Ford Fair 2003. In this picture, you can see the tinted windows, 18" wheels, lowered ride height, the RS body kit, and the Morette twin headlamp conversion.

The Wheels:

The arches are filled thanks to the new 18" BK Racing 299 Wheels.  The car has also been lowered all round by 40mm by using Koni springs and shocks. The filler flap has now gone!

The Front:

This picture was taken at The Mondeomanis show 2003. This picture shows the Morette twin headlamps, and the meshed grille, along with the Escort Cosworth bonnet vents.

The Boot Build:

This picture shows the boot build, comprising Genesis amps, and a JL Audio 12w3 12" subwoofer.  To the left of the boot, (not seen in the picture) is the nitrous bottle.

The Front Screen:

This is a picture of the screen that has been moulded into the dashboard in place of the air vents.  The screen shows output from the DVD player, TV tuner and satellite navigation.  The standard Ford computer and clock modules have been re-located to below the radio. Wood dash panels now replaced with grey items (pics need updating)
