Rear light guards

Rear light guard installation

Though simple to get manufactured some of you may like the dimensions of the ones I assembled for Cartman my Series 3.

All three were manufactured from 304 stainless steel 8mm diameter bar with mud-guard washers (oversized type) at either end, though any similar washer for something like an 8mm bolt would do as well.

Two guards were made to cover both of the rear indicator and brake light arrays with the mounting point fixed into the the galvanised capping on the body work. The capping was drilled and tapped to M5 to allow ease of removal for bulb replacement. The guard above the reverse light prevents the rear mounted spare tyre from hitting the lens when the door is swung open.
