This site was written to record of our experiences with owning a Series 3 Land Rover. Basically, call it a diary? Hopefully this site will contain some useful reference info for other Series LR owners and will list all the bits that have/will fall off your/their Series Land Rover? :)
The majority of the information within the site is aimed at those within my local area of the UK (Wiltshire & Hampshire),though wider info is dotted here and there especially on the links page.

So you think you really want a Series Land Rover ?
Don't ever buy a vehicle such as this if:-
You want a vehicle that you can use day after day with very little maintenance.
You want a vehicle with low fuel consumption.
You want a warm cosy car without drafts, road noise and water leaks.
Do buy a Series LR if:-
You enjoy tinkering with 'old' vehicles.
You don't mind oil on your drive (make sure you have a gravel one!).
You want to drive in conditions that a normal car would find a complete farce.
You want cheap parts, when compared to modern vehicles (but you will regularly need spares if your LR has been worked hard, or been poorly maintained before you aquired it).
Insurance is relatively cheap (£100 Full Comp on a classic 3k miles policy)
