Story
Piglet's Big Movie brings "the little pink guy" to center stage for a
story of friendship and appreciation as the gang from the Hundred Acre
Wood learns that it doesn't take somebody big to do big things.
Piglet gets that inferior feeling when his friends begin a "honey
harvest" and he is told that he is too small to help, reveals the
movie's official site. When Piglet disappears, his pals Eeyore,
Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, and (of course) Winnie-the-Pooh use
his scrapbook as a map to find him--and in the process discover
that this "Very Small Animal" has been a big hero in a lot of ways.
After an eventful search and a dramatic climax, Piglet once again
demonstrates how large an influecne he has been on his pals. The
film features several new songs written and performed by Carly
Simon, including "I I Wasn't So Small (The Piglet Song)", the
heartfelt "Mother's Intuition" and the enchanting "With A Few
Good Friends." Thanks to 'Armstrong' for the heads up on this
and the following two articles.

The Sherman Brothers confirmed to Animated Movies that they are "not involved with
Piglet's Big Movie unfortunately", although they did write songs for The Tigger Movie.
Piglet's Big Movie was presented at Disney Sales Presentations around the world in
February 2002. Non-enthusiastic reports confirmed that it was "basically The Tigger
Movie with Piglet in the lead." That same month, Variety confirmed, in the wake of
Return To NeverLand's success, that the Walt Disney Television Animation, the most
prolific and one of the most profitable production units at Disney in recent years,
was quietly preparing The Jungle Book II and Piglet's Big Movie for theatrical
release in 2003.
