bought from the market and the vegetables from Simon's plantation. Ronide, their youngest child, is happy to help and learn from her mother. At bedtime Bernadette tells Ronide her favourite story. It is of a little girl who sings to a magic fish. In return, the fish makes sure that the water in the well is always pure. Simon leaves the hills at five o'clock in the evening and arrives home about seven. He is tired and hungry. |
