Danny was brought in to the Liverpool team from Crewe during the summer of 1997, after his great talent was spotted after his displays
playing with Michael Owen in the World youth Championships. He is another young player with a lot of potential, a great attacking midfielder
who is quick and has good vision.
He remained a fringe player after arriving, competing for first team
football with a host of other players, and went back to Crewe on loan for the second half of the 1998/99 season for some first team football.
His talent showed through with him winning a few man of the match
awards to keep knocking on the managers door at Anfield, as well as helping Crewe to avoid relegation against the odds.
His improved attitude saw chances to shine come his way at the start
of the 1999/2000 season, and he didn't disappoint.
