The 2nd ECPR General Conference in Marburg, Germany, ended as a success with many participants enjoying their discussions officially and privately. The ECPR SGOC is building up its network across the world slowly but steadily - our development although fast is not as quick as that of transnational criminal organisations. Whilst the conference took place in a friendly atmosphere with lively and fruitful discussions, there is an increased level of violence, hostility and death in some parts of the world. *** This issue of eNewsletter focuses on the connection between terrorist groups and criminal organisations. .<read>

| The group is keen to increase membership and would ask members to help in this recruitment process, in particular, by suggesting possible new members. Members do not have to be from an ECPR institution. We are interested in expanding our network to recruit academics and practitioners so that we can have an exchange of ideas and develop projects together. Please suggest names if you can. |
