We are looking for:

Book reviews: 500-900 words, original books in language of your choice but reviews should be written in English. Indicate the language of the book.

Conference reports: about 1000 words max.  in English. Share your experience at conferences with those who are unable to attend them.

It is hoped that this newsletter will also enable standing group members to exchange information related to their research interests. Some researchers may have difficulty finding suitable opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with fellow scholars, hence, information on past, present and future events as well as information sources might be of interest to members. We hope that this newsletter will broaden opportunities to communicate among scholars in this field whatever their discipline or country... <read>

At the 29th ECPR conference in Grenoble, a workshop was organised on the subject of Organised Crime and the Challenge to Democracy.  The focus of the workshop was upon the tensions between democratic forms of government and the danger posed by organised crime and this provided a rich array of issues for discussion.
