Fishers Green in Lea Valley
is the place for Bitterns, there are 3 there at the moment, sometimes
showing very well, but not while I was there. The young Great-crested
Grebe below put on a splendid display of fish catching though, this one
has a Perch, the spines on its back were not a problem as it was soon
dispached.
I have visited Shingle Street in Suffolk a couple of times during the month hoping to get some Short-eared Owl images (see down page) but some commoner birds were happy to pose for me too. Goldfinch and Robin being very good.
The Lesser Yellowlegs at Cantley beet factory, sadly not very close for me and in poor weather conditions, nice to see all the same.
