The History of Mission Viejo - Aurora; Maps and Community Information

See photos and Ad's of MV and "sister" communities

The purpose of the Mission Viejo Aurora Heritage Committee is to promote and preserve the history of the Mission Viejo Community in Aurora Colorado, from a recognition of its earliest history to the development of one of Colorado's first master planned communities. The committee will initiate projects and interpretive programs that will enhance the communities' understanding of the Mission Viejo development. Also it will function as a consulting group for the Homeowner's Association and the City of Aurora regarding major changes to the cultural landscapes within the community.

We are developing a new web site - coming soon.

This will coordinate with the celebration the 35th Anniversary of Mission Viejo - Aurora Colorado.

In 2007 we will be working with the City of Aurora's History Museum, The Aurora Public Library and the City of Mission Viejo California to bring an exhibit from Mission Viejo California with a section on Mission Viejo Colorado which will sent to California after its exhibition here.

We are looking for volunteers to help in this endevour.

Please join us. E-mail us for any questions or thoughts.
