Welcome to moviesyouwant - the site that tries to take the frustration out of building your film collection.

How many times have you lent a mate a video, only for it to go "walkies" and never be seen again? Not a problems if it's Casablanca, but what if it's something less obvious like "Young Einstein" or "State of Grace", films that just don't seem to exist anymore.

Well, hopefully this site will be able to help. The site serves two purposes - one to keep you informed about companies re-issuing old films, whether on video or DVD. I'm still trying to get a number of companies to give a heads-up on new releases for old movies. This isn't a site that will tell you the release date of "Chamber of Secrets" on DVD but it will tell you when old films get re-issued.

The other more exciting one will enable you to contact other film buffs through the site, and hopefully get your hands on the movies you most want back in your life.

Visitors to the site can add their wishlist films onto a database that other visitors can then view. If someone has a title that you want, and they want to either sell it on or possibly swap it for something else, they can contact you and do so.

This is definately a site that you get back what you put in - the more visitors to the site, the more movies circulate, the happier everyone gets.
