The Ski-ing..........

The apartment is ideally situated just next to the gondola lift and you can ski right back to the apartment door. The skiing ranges from 3417m on the Bellecote Glacier down to the village at 1245m with an extensive network of snow cannons covering  the runs down to the village. The excellent Evolution 2 ski school is close by and access is easy to the nursery slopes. Intermediate and advanced skiers have challenging skiing higher up, or can take the Vanoise Express cable car over to Les Arcs for more red and black slopes. Off-piste skiing is extensive especially up on the Bellecote Glacier region where you could perhaps risk the renowned Bellecote north face. The La Plagne and Les Arcs areas are a beginners/ intermediates paradise and the aptly named Paradiski area has 232 pistes, 420 kms of runs, 2 peaks over 3000m and 2 glaciers with lifts. The brand new cable car, the Vanoise Express, links the two ski areas (worth going on just for the experience!!). The local slopes around Montchavin and Les Coches are lovely, descending through pine forests past small mountain restaurants, ideal for that quick Vin Chaud before the last run down!. .

The  Evolution 2 ski school and Sport 2000 rental shop are situated close by. The ski school instructors are English speaking and classes are for 8 people or less. Private lessons, race training, etc can be arranged as well as skidoo rides, paragliding , helliskiing etc. The facilities for kids are great and there are nursery /crèche facilities in the village.
