Online Webzine for SmallScaleMilitary Miniatures Enthusiasts Hongwell / Cararama Willy's Jeep
Now well and truly in the 21st Century, we're seeing a whole new range of smallscale vehicles from China. There seems to be a revolution in prepainted, high-quality, wargame-ready vehicles from various manufacturers that have appeared in the shops over the past couple of years
The Cararama Willy's jeep is especially representative of this new line of kits. The model is well painted, the windscreen folds up or down, the wheels turn, it's heavy, and it's practically unbreakable under normal use (to break it you would need to slam it down on the floor - could happen I suppose, but you'd have to be pretty darned angry to do so).

The driver is not included, I had to scrounge mine from the Airfix Cole's Crane set (that despatch rider in the picture above is also from the same set).
The Airfix figures fits into the vehicle perfectly, though being British, he's still not got the hang of the fact that he's in a US made left-hand drive vehicle (his left arm is hanging out the side changing gear in mid-air).

At £ 1.50 per vehicle (about the average current retail price), well, do I really need to say more ? .... be the judge yourself .
