Esci Wurfrahmen - Incredible kit ! Many thanks to a fellow smallscale enthusiast in Paris, Gilles Deloison for his help in obtaining this kit.
The first two pictures show it with a base coat of sand coloured enamel paint.

I'd vaguely contemplated converting a normal SdKfz 251 half-track to a rocket carrying version on and off for years, but it seemed like too much hard work.
Many readers may remember the Airfix magazine and an article with Gerald Scarborough's (always inspirational) conversion job on a 1:76 scale Fujimi half track back in the mid-seventies and I'm convinced that having seen those photos of that conversion when I was a young kid had something to do with the fact that I thoroughly enjoyed making this model.

A simple camouflage job, drybrush, wash and weathering job bring out the best in this kit.
And I just had to take this shot with the cotton wool - anyone who's seen the Airfix magazine article will know why.

Before finishing the model, I had a couple of small doubts about the crate arrangements, but thanks to Phillipe Edern (France) who had some reliable documentation available, the doubts were cleared up..
