Pokemon Red And Blue Codes
Cut Down Grassy Areas
Once you get the HM "cut",
your pokemon can cut down grassy areas.
Use "cut" and it will cut a two by two area.
Wild Pokemon will not attack you in the area you cut.

Stand on top of a tree:
You need: Cut
1. Cut down the tree that you can cut.
2. Stand on the spot where the tree was and go to menu and save.
3. Turn the game off, then turn it on again and continue.
4. When you start the game, you should be on top of a tree.

Duplicate Items
To get 99 of any item,
first put the item you want to multiply in the sixth item slot.
Now use FLY and go to Viridian City.
Talk to the old man almost all the way north of the town.
When he asks if you are in a hurry,
say no and watch him catch a weedle.
Right after that, fly to Fuchsia city.
Make your way south and, when you you reach the water's edge,
use SURF and make your way to Seafoam island.
When you get to seafoam island,
swim up and down the beach until
you run into a Pokemon called "M" (Missingno.)
Once you see him, kill him or run away.
DO NOT CATCH HIM! After that,
you should have multiple copies of your sixth item

Get MissingNo.
To get MissingNo (a glitch)
go to Cinnabar Island and go into the
Pokémon Research Labratory
and trade with anyone in the first room.
Then leave the Lab and go to the EAST of Cinnabar Island
and surf up and down on the part
where the land meets the water.
Eventually the battle screen will come up
and the screen goes black for about 5 seconds.
Once you find him I suggest you use a Level 30 to 40 Pokemon.
This is because Missing No, even at Lv. 80,
has a VERY low defense rating. So get him down pretty low.
Even at low he is still extremely difficult to catch.
So next get a Pokemon that knows a
sleep move and put him to sleep. Follow this up
with a couple Ultra Balls and you should have him.

Level 100+ Pokemon
Follow these instructions to catch pokemon
with really high levels.

Talk to the old man in Viridian City who shows you how to catch pokemon.
Fly directly to Cinnabar Island.
Put your strongest pokemon on your team.
You might want to save now.
Surf on the shore where the land touches water.
Keep Surfing until you run into one of these strong pokemon.
These pokemon are well above level 100. Unfortunately,
they will revert back to Level 100 if they gain
any experience points.
Rare Candy is the only thing that raises their level.

Fish on Misty's Gym:
You need: Old Rod
1. In Misty's Gym, face the statue and use Old Rod.
2. You should be able to fish.
This also works in any other gyms to.

Easier way of catching Pokémon:
You need: PokéBalls
1. When you are in battle with a wild Pokémon, Throw a Pokéball.
2. Hit the A buttion and press the right arrow krey repeatedly.

Easy Level Gain:
To easily gain experience,
simply switch the Pokémon you want to train with the top
Pokémon on your list.
When you go into battle the Pokémon will pop out.
Then switch to another Pokémon. When you win the battle
the beginning Pokémon and the fighting Pokémon
will get experience points.

Evolving Pokémon with Stones:
Some Pokémon won't evolve untill you give them a stone.
Here are the Stones:

F = Fire Stone
T = Thunder Stone
W = Water Stone
L = Leaf Stone
M = Moon Stone

Here's the Pokémon to use the stones on:

Pikachu + T = Raichu
Eevee + W = Vapereon
Eevee + T = Jolteon
Eevee + F = Flareon
Clefairy + M = Clefable
Nidorina + M = Nidoqueen
Nidorino + M = Nidoking
Gloom + L = Vileplume
Growlithe + F = Arcanine
Jigglypuff + M = Wigglytuff
Vulpix + F = Ninetails
Weepinbell + L = Victreebell
Poliwhirl + W = Poliwrath
Exeggcute + L = Exeggutor
Shellder + W = Cloyster
Staryu + W = Starmie

Trading Evolution:
Some Pokémon won't evolve until you trade them.
Here's the list:

Machoke evolves into Machamp
Kadabra evolves into Alakazam

Celadon slot machine tip

All of the slot machines have different
odds which change every time Play each machine 4 times,
and if you win on that one two or more
times stick to that one.

Invisible PC

Go to the Motel in Celadon City and move to the far
right wall and make your character look north so
that he is standing on the middle block.
Then press the A button and the blank space will act
as a computer.

Catch Safari Pokemon elsewhere

Go into the Safari Zone
and walk to the patch of grass where the
Pokemon you want is. Walk around to let the time
run out and then FLY to Cinnabar Island.
Surf up and down the west side of the island
(Half on land, Half on water).
You'll start to battle the Pokemon from the patch of
grass that you were standing in.

Catch Ditto easily

To make it a little bit easier to catch Ditto
put a Magickarp or other weak Pokemon
at the top of your list.
Ditto will change into Magickarp and thus making
him easier to catch.

Here are some fairly good items found with the ItemFinder

S.S. Anne Trick

Get HM01 from the Captain then battle
any trainer on the ship and perposly lose.
You will be sent to the last Pokemon Center
you went to without the ship leaving.

Green Pikachu

To get a green Pikachu you'll need a GameBoy color.
catch a Pikachu in the Viridian Forest or the
Power Plant and rename him Pikachan.

Glitch City

Works for Red/Blue only

Go into the Safari Zone and say YES that you
want to catch Pokemon.
Go into the first rest house in front of you.
Talk to the man with glasses.
Leave the house and try to leave Safari Zone.
When he asks you if you are leaving early, say NO.
It will make you walk back into the Safari Zone.
Leave again, and once again say NO.
When you go back into the Safari Zone,
save your game and then shut it off. Turn it back on.
Go out of the Safari Zone.
This is when the first glitch appears.
Instead of asking you if you want to leave early,
he asks you if you want to join the hunt.
When he asks you this make sure to say NO again.
Walk out of the house and FLY to Cinnabar Island.
SURF up and down the coast until there is the gong
you usually hear in the Safari Zone.
The game then warps you back to the Safari Zone
and the warden asks if you had a good haul
and so forth. Leave the building, and when you go outside
you are in a strange "Glitch City." It is very easy to get
trapped in here, and the different glitches make it
hard to move around. Some things to try are fishing, surfing,
and trying to find new paths. Just remember,
nothing is what it seems. This trick does not appear
to ruin any other part of the game,
but it is still in development.
If you want to get out of the city,
you must FLY out and save.

Raise your Pokemon's Stats

Works for all versions.
Take one pokemon out. After battling many pokemon,
heal your pokemon at a Pokemon Center,
then deposit it into the PC. T
ake it out again and its HP and stats will have risen.
This code works because every time you fight a pokemon,
you get a percentage of that pokemon's stats
added into a "pool."
It accumulates no matter what pokemon you fight,
so if you want higher HP, fight many Chanseys.
If you want higher speed, fight Pikachus.
When you place a pokemon that
has been accumulating this "stat experience" into the PC,
the experience is applied and your pokemon's
stats have risen.

Color Code

Works for Red/Blue only
You must use a Gameboy Color system for this code to work.
When the words Gameboy Color flash across the screen
when you first turn on the system,
press the following buttons to change the
colors of your game.

B and Right - This will turn all of the light
colors dark and all of the dark colors light.

B and Left - This combo makes the colors go black and white,
as if you were using an old Gameboy or Gameboy Pocket.

A and Right - This makes all of the colors have a green tinge,
as if it is spring in the game or you are
playing Pokemon Green.

B and Down - This makes all of the colors a light brown
as if it were autumn in the game.

B and Up - This turns all of the colors into a dusty brown,
darker than the autumn brown.

Down - Gives everything pastel colors.

Right - Turns every color into Christmas colors,
red and green.

Left - Changes all of the colors to blue.

Up - This gives everything a chocolately color.

Battle Cheat

Works for all versions.
Try this code out with a friend,
then use it in actual play if the chance ever comes up.
Have your opponent use Substitute.
Use Explosion or Self Destruct while it is in effect.
You will not lose any HP, and your pokemon will temporarily
lose its graphic. In order to get your picture back,
you must let your opponent hit you or you must
switch your pokemon. Unfortunately, you can't do
the trick again until he uses Substitute again!

Cool Ditto

Works for RB
Take a Ditto and go to the strip of
grass near Nugget Bridge and the Unknown Dungeon.
Fight a Pidgey and use Transform.
You'll get Gust, Sand-Attack, and Quick Attack.
Using the SELECT button, switch Gust with Sand-attack.
Defeat Pidgey.
Transform will be erased and will be replaced
with a nameless move that has the type "Cooltrainer,"
although you can't do anything with it
because the pp is always gone.

Ride Cycling Road Without a Bicycle

Works for all versions.
Deposit your bicycle into a PC and head over
to Cycling Road.
Try to walk past the guard,
but he will stop you.
While he is talking to you, keep holding LEFT.
When he finishes talking to you, your man should
continue to walk onto Cycling Road.
When you enter, you will be on a bicycle even
though you do not have one taken out.

House Peeking

Works for all versions.
This is a cool little thing to do.
Go to Pallet town and walk up to that girl
that talks about "raising her pokemon so they
will protect her later."
Follow her around for a little bit.
When she walks up to the entrance of your house,
go directly behind her.
If she does not go left or right,
she will go straight into your doorway!
