On Maygay machines, the 321 231 sequence is used by engineers to download the logs
(money in/out/target percentage etc.) and while it does this - it pauses the machine to
access the information.
If you are attempting to do this without the necessary equipment attached, it times out
and goes
back to exactly where it left off.
The only true reset is by switching the machine off and back on - and of course modern
machines use NVRAM to prevent it losing the settings.
Older machines may have had secret sequences, but the modern machines (coded in C for
most
, Forth for Barcrest) are coded in a modular form - and sequences would stand out a mile
when
they are checked by other members of staff.
Any win following a "reset" code is purely coincidental.. I know, I've tried
it a few times
just to be sure and it makes no difference.

Here are some common reset cheats are..
On any maygay machine 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 1 on the hold buttons.
Other resets are..
1,3 1,3 1,3 ,13 ,13 1,2 1,2 1,2 1,2 and 1,2,3 2,3,1 2,3 1,2
I need some more info on these cheats to find out what they actually do.We have
discussed
reset codes for about a year now and there is not a shred of evidence that they do
anything
except make the middle button flash. If they worked you could empty the machine by
repeating the winning method.
FRUIT MACHINES HAVE to pay out somthing like 77%! Anyway I went on one
(coranation st.) and tried the 321231 code middle button flashed and everything froze
for about 6 sec. As it was frozen I pressed another code 321213 after putting in 20p
and then pressed the collect and exchange bottons rapidly, when the machine unfroze
and I could start, all hold bottons were on. I ended up winning £15 from 60p!
