Marlboro Eagles Football Club
Saturday January 13th
Venue: Glyncoed School
It didn't rain for a week! The pitch was firm! These two facts alone make this Saturday truly memorable and a wonderful start to the year! Today saw the Eagles biggest ever victory with a whopping 4-0 win over Pentwyn B. The boys played wonderfully well both in attack and defence. Pentwyn were a good side but their attacks were dealt with by a well organised defence who were never pulled out of position. It was good see the lads looking around them to see who needed to be picked up. Our attack was also something to be proud of with four well taken goals going in. We really have something to build on now and the lads should really be proud of themselves. The boys also played Pentwyn A and unluckily lost by a goal before losing to Llanishen in the final match. Thanks again to our hardy band of supporters who at least kept dry today! Just look at that blue sky in the photos!
