Marlboro Eagles Football Club
Saturday December 2nd
Venue: Llanishen Park

Many parents are rightly worried that playing on dry, bone hard pitches may cause injuries in the ankle and knee joints of young football players:  well no such worries today then!! Those of you that turned up at the last set of matches played at Llanishen will know exactly what I mean! Saying the surface was soft doesn't do things justice! Our brave lads again found it difficult to display their highly refined ball skills and changing to the kick and rush game does not suit them! In saying this we managed to score two fine goals in the last match against Splott, which was scant reward for the games againts this side, Tongwynlais and Llanishen Dons! I was the only spectator who thought to wear wellies too! How wise I am!  Well done lads on another brave display! And well done too the hardy Mums and Dads who stood ankle deep in mud on the sides! Hope you enjoy the photos! If you look closely at the team photo you will see my first appearance on the site, well... my shadow is there anyway! Thanks to all, lads and supporters, for turning up in such unpleasant conditions! Lets hope we have a dry spell soon!
