Marlboro Eagles Football Club Saturday 8th December 2001 Coed Glas School Another 3 wins! Winning seems to have become a habit! A wonderfully sunny December morning at the venue hosted by our Marlboro B friends saw our heroes sweep all before them again! Blue skies, no wind, just a rather heavy due to contend with! A special day too for Declan and Owen, as today saw them both get on the score sheet and there was much celebration! As always both the Marlboro sides turned up well in time with large squads but we had to wait a little while for Capital Trucks B and Grangetown B to show but eventually everyone was present and correct |

Game 1 was against our Marlboro B friends and a really competitive game it was. The first half saw us take a one nil lead and the game was very tight. Three goals went in quick succession early in the second half and you may have though that the game was over. However the Marlboro B lads rallied well and made a real fight of the last quarter and scored two deserved goals to bring the score back to 4-2. The game finished with our lads really knowing they had been in a game! Well done to both sides on a fine contest.
