I missed this one! Me and Dec were in the New Forest attending a family wedding! Thanks go to Dermot for the photos this week!
The night before it looked as if the Eagles might be a little short with not only Declan being out but Niall's sore knee from last weeks injury meant he wouldn't be playing either. Happily, all turned out well on the attendance front as you can see from the picture opposite.
Thornhill have provided stern opposition in the past and nothing was going to be taken for granted. Two excellent Joey strikes saw the lads take a 2 nil lead but Thornhill pulled one back to make the score 2-1 at half time.
The second half saw the lads take complete control and 6 more goals entered the opponent's net.
Good news for the Eagles was the Re-introduction of Aaron! Aaron marked his return with TWO goals! Good to see you back young man!
Next week sees the Eagles play Thornhill B in the cup!
