We  play on the Heath!!
At last we play on our "home" pitch after wandering Cardiff for several years! A beautiful September evening greeted players and Crew for a much anticipated match! The famous Marlboro Crew were treated to eight goals! Unfortunately, the Eagles only scored three of them!!
A well organised Dons side deservedly took the lead in the first five minutes when slick passing meant that the opposing strikers found an easy way to goal. The lads held their own for much of the first half but went further behind with a gift of a goal before half time. Some stern talking by the managers seemed to have little immediate effect as the lads fell even further behind soon after half time. However an excellent goal by Niall meant that the lads had a glimmer of hope midway through the second period. However the Dons scored again before Joey pulled the Eagles back t o 4-2. Just as it lookes as if the lads had at last started firing on all cylinders the Dons scored again. To give the Eagles credit they finished strongly and a second strike from Niall saw the Eagles pull back to 5-3 but it was too little too late. The lads lost their unbeaten run and a few hard lessons were learned.
