For only the third time this season the lads play at their designated home pitch! Today we welcome the league leaders Pentwyn Dynamos who seem to have adapted to the 11 a side game best of all! The Dynamos have had an excellent season so far so this was going to be a hard fought game!
Yet again a combination of illness and "no shows" left the squad a little depleted but one good piece of news was that Jamie is finally eligible to play and he duly made his first appearance today! Fortunately, the managers were able to pick a strong side to take the field and it looked like it was going to be a good day when the lads took the lead after 5 minutes when Jonathan finished off a fine attacking move. At that time our defence was coping well with the Dynamos attack but the excellent support play of their midfield meant that pressure was building.  The pressure finally told and Pentwyn made the important breakthrough to draw level. Two more goals followed soon after and although the Eagles hit a post and saw a Niall shot just drift over the bar at half time the lads were 3-1 down.
In the second half the pressure continued to be exerted on the beleaguered defence and the Eagles attack found themselves struggling with a very well organised defensive unit. Despite one or two very close efforts the lads failed to add to the first half goal. Pentwyn managed two more goals, somewhat fortuitously and the match finished 5-1.
