Once again there were superb conditions in wait for us at the home of our club colleagues! Well marked pitches and an excellent playing surface is something we've come to enjoy every time we have visited! When you realise what the weather has been like Ian and the gang deserve the highest praise! Well done boys!  So, once again we face the determination of the Marlboro B side who never given an inch! ?These derby days are eagerly awaited by the players and the famous Marlboro Crew on the side! We have no doubt we are in for yet another exciting tussle! Other games this morning are against Lisvane and Thornhill both of which have fine sides.

As expected the game started at frenetic pace! Every ball challenged and not an inch given! No chances at all came about for the first few minutes but gradually the Eagles took command! Stout defending saw all Marlboro B forays snuffed out and a cleverly worked corner routine between Aaron and Niall saw the latter hit the post! A minute later the two lads tried the same near post trick and this time it worked with Niall glancing the ball just inside the post to make it 1-0 which is how things stayed until half time. The second half saw the Eagles continue to take control and it was with the flow of play that Niall followed up a James screaming shot to hit the rebound into the net. Marlboro B weren't finished however and saw two excellent chances kept out by last gasp defending before deservedly gaining a late consolation goal! So it finished 2-1 and the lads managed to maintain their derby record! Well played both sides, you produced some fine entertainment for the fans!

The next game was against Lisvane Panthers and the lads could have been forgiven for taking it a little easy after such an exciting opening! However, once again the lads produced a polished performance to win 2-1 after being pegged back 1-1 early in the second half!

The last game against Thornhill saw the lads dominate much of the game and did well to keep their heads in the face of some ill-timed tackles, Aaron especially deserves much praise for keeping cool despite being on .the receiving end of a fair number of wild challenges
The lads actually fell behind to a Thornhill goal early in the second half but a superb move up field saw the Eagles score the goal of the day to equalise. Despite a batch of excellent efforts on goal from the Eagles the score finished 1-1.
