The Reception was held to update those involved in the Preservation Trust's fundraising, and donors, on the progress of the restoration work. Terry Warburton spoke about the various attempts to raise grant monies and the extent of the problem facing the Trust. His illustrations graphically showed the seriousness of the deterioration of the tower.
Sharp eyes will spot Preservation Trust Trustees Sally Rode, Peter Quick, Trevor Lunnon and Canon Anthony Hulbert in the pictures above, as well as Rhys Goodwin (SBDC Chairman) and Terry Warburton.
Unexpectedly, I was presented with a framed certificate to recognise the contribution of over £600 raised by the raffle of the cross-stich of the church.
