Children and Disabled Guests
Children
British Airways London Eye welcomes children of all ages, but please note
that an adult must accompany any children under 16. For families with young
children, baby buggies cannot be taken on to the flight, unless they are folded
up and carried on.
You may leave your buggy at the Left Luggage facility within County
Hall, which is adjacent to the Eye, and borrow a complimentary baby-
carrier for use during your visit. Baby changing facilities can be found,
in the disabled toilets in the ticket office in County Hall, adjacent to
Costa Coffee.
If you are hiring a private capsule and have purchased a champagne
flight, please note that children under 14 years old are not permitted in the
capsule due to the licensing restrictions.
Disabled Guests
British Airways London Eye has full disabled access. This includes
a ramp and walkway into County Hall, which incorporates the
Ticket Hall, toilet facilities and Costa Coffee.
The Eye itself also has full disabled access. Disabled guests may board at
the base of the Eye on Queen's Walk where the access ramps are located.
Members of staff will always be on hand to assist guests (if required).
Unfortunately due to safety restrictions, only two wheelchairs per capsule
and up to four wheelchairs per time slot are allowed on The Eye.
Those arriving by coach/car should use the coach
drop off point on Belvedere Road just behind The Eye.
Access is then through Jubilee Gardens next to Belvedere Road.
There are three car parks located on the South Bank. These include
Hungerford Bridge, under Hayward Gallery and under the Royal
National Theatre. These car parks are all accessible from Belvedere
Road. Limited Disabled bays are located along Belvedere Road.
Although British Airways London Eye is constantly revolving, The Eye
will be stopped or slowed to ensure the safe and comfortable boarding of
all guests. A member of staff will assist all guests in a wheelchair to
board and alight from the capsule. However due to potential risks to both
our guests and staff, we are unable to physically lift guests into and out
of capsules.

There are a limited number of wheelchairs available at the Information
Desk inside County Hall, for loan. Please note that this service is provided
on a "first come first served" basis, is subject to availability and requires a
deposit of £150 using a credit card. These wheelchairs are for use solely
at the London Eye and cannot be taken off site.
From Waterloo mainline station, wheelchair users should
head to the Waterloo International terminal, using the lifts to
access the ground floor. Having exited Waterloo International,
follow the clear signs directing you to the Eye. At York Road,
use the pedestrian crossing to your immediate right. Go straight
ahead down Chichly Street and you'll see the Eye in front of you.
Go through the landscape area. Disabled access to County Hall is
on your left as you go through the landscape.
From Westminster take the exit for Westminster pier. Follow signs
to Westminster Bridge. Disabled access to Westminster bridge is sign
posted. Cross over Westminster Bridge and continue going straight
past County Hall. Turn left down Belvedere Road and left again at the End
of County Hall through the landscape area. Disabled access to County Hall is
on your left as you go through the landscape.
Disabled guests who would have difficulty negotiating our normal
queuing area may queue at the base of The Eye on Queen's Walk
where the access ramps are located. Our policy is wherever possible
to provide a "fast track" to the front of the queue for disabled guests
with their carer. If you have several able-bodied guests accompanying
you, the rest of your group will be asked to join the queue and
cannot be fast tracked.
