Alone in the darkness
in stillness I lay here
thoughts of love lost
bathed with another tear,
Sad without you here
so, so very bereft
heaviness in my heart
all because you left,
My nights are so cold
they freeze up my heart
icicles replace the glow,
now we are apart
This is so hard
trying to find the words
to tell how bad it feels
without you in my world
I ask God sometimes
"is this to punish me?"
"is there something I did wrong?"
"what are you trying to make me see?"
I also pray to him
to take care of you
and love you forever
just like I so wanted to,
I try to get over you
but I`m no longer whole
you gave me love but in return,
you took away my soul.
