A Last Peep Back

"A Last Peep Back"

If you died tomorrow
and were allowed a last peep
back from where you floated
in a twilight sleep,

what could you see
in what you left down here,
would there be any person
that you left with a tear?

is there someone there
who will find it hard to carry on,
feeling guilt about the past
now that you have gone?

will they have to carry all their life
the painfull memory
of an unresolved argument
where no-one said sorry?

wouldnt it break your heart
to see them hurt so much
and not be able to breath a word
or let them feel your touch?

now that you could see
you have no way to let them know
wouldn`t you wish a reunion
before you`d had to go?.

If you don`t die tomorrow
then please don`t hesitate
say your sorry, lose your pride
before it is too late.
