INTRODUCING TWO
NEW MEMBERS TO OUR FAMILY OF BICHON FRISE
THE GERMAN SPITZ
KLEIN I have been looking for a new glamorous
breed to show without the need for trimming
and stacking on the floor, due to health
problems-- I am finding the Bichons
becoming too demanding regarding the coat
care and the need for constant grooming
that is required for the showring. I
have also gone as far as I can,I think,
with trying to breed better or equal exhibits for
me to handle and having made up 11 UK Champions
feel its time for a change and another challenge.
I will not be giving up the Bichons and will
still breed them but will be slowing down
in couple years with the showing of them..
I have bought two GERMAN
SPITZ KLEIN
8 week old Puppies from Mr Mrs T Highmoor
of the PRINZAGEMS affix
and look forward to showing them later in the
year. The Klein's have only been allocated
Chalenge Certificates since around 1995 and
at the moment there is ten sets on offer each
year at Ch shows to make up your Champions,
so not an easy task and the Klein is not mature
enough till around 3 years of age ( thats what I
like about them you can show up to all
ages) not like the Bichon Frise I feel that you
need to be winning CC's and made up by
about 2/3 years, at least in the UK.
The Klein's are an adorable
breed very cute / intelligent / alert
and nimble, They range in height from 9 to 11 and
1/2 inches ( same as the Bichon) .They do
shed their coats about once /
twice a year, one is a Wolf sable and we
have called her SECRET, I hope she keeps
her colour but sometimes they change alittle and
any colour is accepted in the showring, the
other is a parti-colour and her name is
COCO. I hope you like the photo's of
them and will keep updating the page as they
grow.
