I recommend a full day of travel to really get you in the mood for a public performance. Here is a suggested schedule:Set off from home very early. Travel 1 1/2 hours by train to the airport. Check in, wait 1 1/4 hours for the flight. Fly 1 1/2 hours. Take a taxi to the railway station - 40min. Purchase ticket, wait 1hr for the train. Travel by train 3 hrs. Get driven very fast over bumpy winding roads to your final destination - 1 1/2 hrs. Lay down 20min. Eat 20min. Change and go to concert hall 20min. Give concert.
This was what happened to me recently: Hastings to London Gatwick to Dublin to Limerick to Listowel.
(The concert went quite well, considering.)
